이 노래를 듣는데 생각나는 이 노래

something just like this->Origin of love

전혀 관계없는 두곡을 같이 포스팅하는 이유는 뮤직 비디오가 너무 닮아서다.

<something just like this>는 무려 콜드플레이가 체인스모커스라는 EDM 그룹과 콜라보 한 곡이다.

살짝 어린 왕자 필이 나기도 하는 <something just like this> 뮤비는 파스텔톤으로 잔잔한 느낌을 주는데 참고로 이 곡을 콜플 내한에서 처음 들었다. 원대한 꿈 대신 소박한 꿈을 꾼다는 내용이다.

EDM 장르를 별로 좋아하지 않지만 이 노래는 가끔 찾아 들을 만큼 좋아한다.

실패한 트랜스 젠더 헤드윅이 부르는 노래로 영화에서 가장 기억에 남는 곡 중 하나. (물론 안 좋은 곡이 없을 정도로 거의 모든 곡이 좋다.)

플라톤의 '항연'의 신화 이야기를 모티프 삼아 가사를 썼다. 영화 노래 중 몇 안 되는 잔잔함을 끝까지 유지하는 곡.

각설하고 이 두 곡의 공통점이라 하면 메인 테마가 '사랑'이라는 점이지만 사랑을 부르지 않는 노래가 몇이나 있겠는가.

물론 <something just like this>는 뮤직비디오라 주인공의 삶을 유추할 순 없지만 어린이가 행복한 꿈을 꾸는 느낌이라면, 헤드윅의 인생은.......

내용이나 느낌은 다르지만 둘 다 좋은 노래임엔 틀림없다. 그리고 뮤지컬 영화를 좋아한다면 (그렇다면 안 봤을 리가 없지만) 꼭 헤드윅을 보시길. 조만간 헤드윅도 다시 보고 리뷰를 적어야겠다.

여담이지만 헤드윅의 인생이 고달프겠다고 생각하니 갑자기 마츠코가 생각난다.
