Biaka University Institute of Buea (BUIB) is a private higher education institution located in Buea, Cameroon.
Established in 1998 by the late Dr. Lawrence Francis Tonye Biaka, a renowned gynaecologist, the university began as the St. Francis School of Nursing and Midwifery.
Over the years, it has expanded into a comprehensive university offering a variety of programs across multiple disciplines.  
Academic Schools and Programs
BUIB comprises several specialized schools, each offering diverse programs:
• School of Health Sciences: Offers programs in Nursing, Midwifery, and other health-related fields.
• School of Management Sciences: Provides courses in business, finance, and management.

Admission Requirements
BUIB welcomes applications from individuals of all nationalities, religions, and backgrounds.
The general admission criteria include:  
• Academic Qualifications: Applicants should have passed at least four subjects at the GCE Ordinary Level or Probatoire and at least two subjects at the GCE Advanced Level in one sitting, excluding Religion. Alternatively, a pass in the Baccalaureate (General or Technical) is acceptable.
• Language Proficiency: For foreign students without knowledge of English, enrollment in the Intensive Vocational Competence Program is required.
• Entrance Examinations: Certain programs, especially in the School of Health Sciences, require candidates to pass competitive entrance exams.
