What Koreans think Yoon speech
I am not that representative of my country, South Korea, but I have strongly insisted about that comment of President Yoon Sook-Yol on SNS, officially. Actually, I already sued him with another issue before he became the President and the courts recently rejected it, anyway, I am very disappointed at him. Even I feel anger. I saw that many Koreans feel similar at news.
President Yoon Sook-yol had officially promised South Korea and Japan must solve their issues for the future so I don’t want to be in the past only, but at the same time, I will strongly persist about the past. (This kind of promise is usual for being President in South Korea and no one wants to be only in the past) But he suddenly said like no more kneeling down for just happening that even happened 100 years ago. I think he is breaking his official promises. And most Koreans couldn’t even imagine he will say like that.
Including me, no Koreans have asked for kneeling down only for just that happening, actually, Japan and South Korea still don’t have same position about the past so Japan can’t show how not to be willing to do in specific ways. About the past, such as, Japan doesn’t even agree of colonialism itself and they have insisted that comfort women named by UN were voluntary prostitutes and no such a forced labor, so no Koreans believe Japan won’t do again. Japan attacked several times Korea through history, and other issues are remained, so certainty can be uncertain. As long as Japan won’t agree of what is forced labor during wars, Japan can use anyone for doing forced labor.
Morevoer, differences of the position about the colonialism have existed, not only between South Korea and Japan, in all colonies, so, whenever any colony has developed, anytime, Japan must face same issues with them. It can make Japan be isolated. There are many countries governed than governing countries. So Japan must solve this difference with Korea as first developed country after colony and then make it disappear.
President Yoon Sook-yol misunderstood that Europe and western have opened some kind of new step with their colony so Japan and Korea must do same, while Europe and western have accepted refugees, inserted race wars and served systems, due to, so that, this difference won’t be permitted. Moreover, under only this way, there are such deep seated conflicts in western even inside, that mention of president Yoon Sook-yol have insulted like that all colony want to such ridiclous revenge. President Yoon Sook-yol have made citizens, who have sacrificed for establishing common standard and preventing wars, some kind of narrow viewed stubbornness or stickers of the revenge glory.
Actually, establishing common standard, preventing wars and making new view including severe traumas (I can’t even describe), happened among all species and races, must be done by politicians, especailly president, in South Korea, citizens have done it. And courts and governments have charged them, ridiclously, they have argued these citizens have made useless conflicts, anywway,
I feel such a shame on the president Yoon sook-yol, seriously.
한국이 단지 일본인의 사과를 받아들이지 않아서가 아니라, 한국과 일본이 과거에 대해 같은 관점을 공유하고 어떤 미래를 개척할 것인가에 대해서 합의가 안 돼있기 때문에, 여전히 한국인들이 이에 대해 다투는 것을 윤석열 대통령은 마치 한국인들이 과거에 매몰돼 복수극을 펼치는 사람들처럼 묘사를 하니, 참 부끄럽네요.
