Babies seem to tend to be familiar with kind of soft and high tone voices that mom (women) and children can make. If father can make those sounds, including up and down, babies can be more responsive. Men's voices are usually down and are not dramatic.

I think that babies can't see everything specifically yet because eyes are even growing, so sounds are more specific to them. Also babies can remember usual voices that means babies are usually spending time on mom and brother at home while father works outside.
