압생트 Absinthe (2025. ink on Korean paper. 25X34)

빛의 파편이라 해도 무언가에 기다란 그림자를 선사하여 빛으로서의 제 역할을 충분히 해내고,

물의 편린이라 하여도 칼 같은 경계선에 폭신한 번짐을 주듯 물의 성질을 온전히 수행하며,

기억의 한 컷이라 한들 어느 시점과도 연결 가능할 정도로 '갖추어진' 시작점이다.

한 잔의 압생트는 희대의 예술가들이 온갖 종류의 사랑을 게워내게 했으며, 사랑이야말로 인류의 실존을 생생하게 입증하는 것임을 증명하였다.

나의 창조물 역시 길을 가던 중 작은 돌부리에 걸려 넘어져 튀어버린 나의 파편들. 나를 대신하여 색으로 넘치는 곳에서 무채에 목마른 소수의 사람들을 향해 손 흔드는 하나의 숨은 픽셀이다.

Even a fragment of light casts a long shadow, fully fulfilling its role as light.

Even a mere fragment of water perfectly embodies the properties of water, creating a soft, flowing effect on a sharp edge.

Even a single frame of memory is a "complete" starting point, capable of connecting to any point in time.

That glass of absinthe in someone's hand made great artists express all kinds of love, proving that love is the living proof of human existence.

My creation is a fragment of myself that i tripped over a small rock along my path and flew off. It is a single hidden pixel waving to the few people thirsting for colorlessness in a place overflowing with color on my behalf.
