기다렸지, 뭐야
이 순간을 기다려 왔어
조용한 땅을 손끝으로 간질이며
무릎을 쭉 펴서
태양을 향해 손을 쑥 뻗었지
눈부신 햇살에
찡그린 실눈으로 세상을 바라봤어
나무는 내 어깨를 토닥이고
바람은 평온하게 반겨 줬지
첫 숨을 내쉬는 순간
심장의 떨림
새로운 시작의 설렘
존재만으로 벅찬 기쁨
나는 자라 날 거야
희망의 잎을 달고
빛의 줄기를 따라
하루에 한 뼘씩
나의 봄으로 피어날 거야

I’ve been waiting, oh yes
waiting for this very moment
Tickling the quiet earth with my fingertips
I stretch my knees
reach my hands up toward the sun
With squinting eyes against the dazzling light
I look out at the world
The tree pats my shoulder
and the breeze greets me softly
The moment I take my first breath
my heart trembles
filled with the thrill of a new beginning
the joy of simply being alive
I will grow
wearing leaves of hope
following the stems of light
each day a handspan higher
blossoming into my own spring
