살로메아가 처음 울음을 터뜨린 밤, 하늘은 피처럼 붉었다. 아르세론의 하층 신전지구, 제13번 지열굴의 깊숙한 방 안. 그녀의 어머니 '리아샤'는 한때 불의 여사제로 이름을 떨쳤으나, 신전을 배반하고 금단의 연정을 품었다는 이유로 추방당한 몸이었다. 그 연정의 상대는 누구였는지 누구도 모른다. 단 한 사람, 살로메아만이 알았을 뿐이다.
살로메아는 세 살 때 이미 불꽃을 조종하는 재능을 보였다. 촛불을 바라보며 노래를 부르면 불꽃이 춤을 췄고, 분노할 땐 주위의 물건들이 스스로 타올랐다. 하지만 이 재능은 축복이 아닌 저주처럼 다가왔다. 마을의 아이들은 그녀를 '불의 악령'이라 부르며 돌을 던졌고, 어른들은 눈을 돌렸다. 리아샤는 딸을 보호하기 위해 그녀를 깊은 지하굴로 감췄고, 그곳에서 살로메아는 오직 불꽃과 그림자만을 친구 삼았다.

Chapter 2: The Child of Flame – The Birth of Salomea
The night Salomea first let out a cry, the sky burned crimson like blood.
It was deep within Chamber 13 of the geothermal caverns in Arcelon’s lower sanctum district. Her mother, Riasya, had once been a renowned fire priestess—until she was cast out of the temple for harboring a forbidden passion. None knew the name of her lover. None, except Salomea.
By the age of three, Salomea had already shown an uncanny gift: she could command flame. When she sang to a candle’s flicker, it would dance with her. When she grew angry, objects nearby would ignite on their own. But her gift was no blessing—it was a curse in the eyes of others.
The village children called her “demon of fire,” hurling stones in fear. The elders averted their gaze.
To protect her, Riasya hid the child away in the deepest chambers of the earth, where Salomea grew up with only flame and shadow as her companions.
On her tenth birthday, her mother gave her a forbidden tablet—a relic etched with incantations in the Ancient Tongue of Flame. When Salomea read the words aloud, blue fire burst from her fingertips.
It was the Flame of the Gods—a sacred blaze said to manifest only in the Chosen.
But that power, once awakened, did not bring glory. It summoned doom.
That winter, emissaries of the Priesthood of Alexion arrived in Arcelon. Guided by prophecy, they searched for the “Prophet of Blood.”
Whispers led them through temple ruins to a single name—Salomea.
That very night, beneath a sky turned blood-red once more, they took her.
