한국어교원능력검정시험 면접 후기 (2025.11)
— 포기하지 않은 나에게 보내는 작은 박수
면접 D-DAY: 럭키 5401번
2시 면접으로 신청했고, 그날 저는 ‘5401번’이라는 행운의 번호를 뽑았습니다.
사실 스텝분이 호명하신 번호를 놓쳐 조금 늦게 추첨하게 되었는데, 결과적으로는 그게 오히려 ‘럭키’였습니다.
시험장 입장 & 대기실 분위기
동부시험장 1층에는 두 개의 대기공간이 있었습니다.
바깥쪽 홀과 안쪽 대기실로 나뉘어 있었고, 저는 2대기실(2층)으로 배정받았습니다.
1시 50분이 되자 각자 지정된 대기실로 이동했고, 이때까지는 핸드폰과 스마트워치를 제출하지 않아 간단한 복습이 가능했습니다. 이후, 신분증 확인 후 본격적인 면접 절차가 시작됐습니다.

저는 5실, 그리고 그 실의 첫 번째 순서였습니다.
2시 25분경, 각 실별로 앞 번호 두 명이 면접실로 이동했고, 지하 1층 면접장으로 내려갔습니다.
면접실은 양쪽으로 나란히 배치되어 있었고, 입실 전 가운데 의자에서 주의사항을 전달받았습니다.
(이름이나 소속 언급 시 퇴실 처리된다는 점, 유의해야 합니다.)
짐은 문 옆 책상에 두고, 노크 후 입실하게 됩니다.

면접 도중 긴장해서 약간 버벅이기도 했고, 질문을 곱씹느라 몇 초간 멈칫했던 순간도 있었습니다.
지만 가운데 앉아 계신 면접관님께서 자상한 눈빛으로 응원해주시는 듯한 표정을 지어주셔서, 큰 힘이 되었던 것 같습니다.
나의 답변 & 돌아보며
1️⃣ 발음 현상 설명
: 조금 틀린 부분이 있었던 것 같아 아쉬움이 남습니다.
2️⃣ 학습 자료 부족 대처
: 비교적 자신 있었던 부분. 다만, ‘교사 연계 커뮤니티’까지 언급했다면 더 좋았을 것 같습니다.
3️⃣ 봉사활동 계획
: 다문화 아동과 학부모 대상 한국어 교육을 하고 싶다고 말씀드렸는데, 면접관님들 표정이 어떤 의미인지 잘 모르겠습니다.
‘초등교사’라는 제 상황을 밝힌 점이 플러스였을지 마이너스였을 지 잘 모르겠습니다.
그래도 전반적으로 침착하면서도 집중력 있는 태도로 마무리할 수 있었습니다.
거의 1년 가까이 이어진 이 여정이 드디어 면접으로 마무리되었습니다.
하지만 이 면접은 끝이 아니라, 한국어교원으로서의 첫걸음이라 생각합니다.
12년간 성실하게 초등교육에 임했던 것처럼,
앞으로는 한국어교원으로서도 다양한 현장에서 제 역량을 펼쳐나가고 싶습니다.
이 도전을 끝까지 포기하지 않고 완주한 저 자신이 참 대견하고,
곁에서 묵묵히 응원해준 모든 분들께 진심으로 감사드립니다.

A Small Applause for the Me Who Never Gave Up
Interview D-DAY: Lucky No. 5401
I applied for the 2 p.m. slot and drew number 5401 — a lucky number indeed.
I actually missed my first call and ended up drawing later than others, but funnily enough, it turned out to be a blessing in disguise.
Entering the Exam Venue & Waiting Room Atmosphere
There were two waiting areas on the first floor of the Dongbu test center — one in the outer hall and another inside.
I was assigned to the second waiting room (on the 2nd floor).
Until the ID check, we could review lightly, as mobile phones and smartwatches were collected right before the verification process.
Interview Procedure
After ID check, I drew my interview number again.
We were then reseated in numerical order, and our assigned interview rooms (Room 1–8) were displayed on a monitor.
I was assigned to Room 5 and was first in line.
Around 2:25 p.m., the first two candidates from each room moved downstairs to the interview area (B1).
The interview rooms were lined up on both sides, and we received final reminders on conduct before entering (e.g., mentioning your name or affiliation leads to disqualification).
Bags were placed on the desk outside the room, and we knocked before entering.

Although I was a bit nervous and paused briefly while processing the questions,
the central interviewer gave a gentle, encouraging look — something I still vividly remember.
My Responses & Reflections
1️⃣ Phonological explanation — I may have made a slight error here.
2️⃣ Material shortage solution — I was relatively confident, but could have added teacher networking communities.
3️⃣ Volunteering — I mentioned wanting to teach multicultural children and parents.
The panel’s expressions were a bit hard to read. I’m unsure whether mentioning my primary school teaching experience helped or not.
Still, I managed to maintain a calm yet focused attitude overall.
This nearly one-year journey has finally come to its last step with this interview.
But to me, it’s not the end — it’s the beginning of a new path as a Korean language teacher.
Just as I dedicated myself to 12 years of elementary education,
I now hope to apply my strengths in the field of Korean language education as well.
To the version of myself who never gave up: thank you.
And to everyone who supported me quietly — I’m truly grateful.
