42.What kinds of questions are there?

질문의 종류에 대해 지도해 보자. 질문의 형태는 크게 두 가지로 나눌 수 있다. 정보 요구에 대한 답을 말해 주는 것과 ‘Yes’와 ‘No’로 간단하게 대답할 수 있는 경우를 영어로 지도해 보면 아래와 같다.

Q: What kinds of questions are there? 질문에는 어떤 종류가 있지?

A: There are two kinds of questions. 두 가지 종류의 질문이 있다.

First, yes-no question. Second, 5W 1H question. 첫째, 예-아니요 질문. 둘째, 5W 1H 질문.

참고로, 5W는 Who, Where, When, What, Why를 의미하고 1H는 How에 대한 약자이다.

Do you watch television at night? Yes, I do. No, I don`t.

(Gesture: What kinds of questions are there? ‘question’은 질문이라는 뜻으로 공중에 물음표를 그려 준다.

There are two kinds of questions. ‘two kinds of’는 한 손의 검지와 중지를 세워 알파벳 V를 만들어 준다.

First, yes-no question. Second, 5W 1H question. ‘yes-no’는 한 손의 엄지를 세우고 위와 아래로 내려 준다. ‘5W 1H’는 먼저 한 손을 다 펴서 숫자 5를 만든 후 엄지와 세씨 손가락을 접어 가운데 세 손가락으로 알파벳 W를 만들어 준다. 그리고 다른 손의 검지만 세워 숫자 1을 만든 후 알파벳 수화의 ‘H’ 즉 검지와 중지만을 세워 몸 안족으로 지면과 나란히 되도록 두 손가락을 수평으로 눕혀 준다.
