많은 사람들은 'Blockchain / DLT(Digital Ledger Technology): 블록체인/분산원장기술'이 전 지구적으로 시스템 구조의 변화를 가져올 가능성이 가장 높은 신흥 기술 중 하나인 것을 알고 있습니다. 이와 마찬가지로 대부분의 사람들은 기후변화가 우리 시대의 심각한 문제라는 것에도 동의하죠 :)
여기서 질문! 우리가 블록체인과 같은 유망한 기술로 지구가 마주한 긴급한 문제를 해결할 수 있다면 어떻게 될까요? 유엔 기후변화 협약(UNFCCC)은 이번 11월 독일 본(Bonn)에서 열리는 유엔 기후변화 당사국총회(COP23)와 병행하여 개최되는 4일간의 블록체인 해커톤 # Hack4Climate를 주최합니다. Hack4Climate Korea는 한국 전역의 블록체인과 기후변화에 관심이 있는 커뮤니티에 #Hack4Climate 해커톤을 소개하기 위해 #Hack4Climate - 블록체인, 기후변화를 만나다. 를 개최합니다.
이 워크숍의 목표는 블록체인 애호가에게 기후변화 주제를 소개하고 블록체인 기술을 응용한 기후변화 해결책의 첫 번째 아이디어를 개발하는 것입니다.
블록체인 커뮤니티를 비롯한 다양한 분야의 사람들이 만나 네트워크를 형성하고 지속적인 지구의 문제 해결을 위해 협업할 수 있도록 지식과 경험을 공유하는 자리가 되기를 기대합니다!

Most people agree that the ‘blockchain/DLT’ (Digital Ledger Technology) is one of the emerging technologies with the highest potential of worldwide system change. At the same time, most people agree that Climate Change is the defining challenge of our time. Now the question: what happens if you tackle this urgent problem with such a promising technology?
The Impact Hub is co-organizing #Hack4Climate, a 4-day Blockchain hackathon held in parallel to the COP climate conference this November in Bonn. To reach out to the blockchain community around the UK, we are organising a preparatory workshop “Let’s #Hack4Climate London” .
The goal of this workshop is to introduce blockchain enthusiasts to the climate change topic and develop first ideas of applications. This will give the attendees a real edge when applying to be part of the main Hack4Climate in November in Bonn. It will also help you to network with the local blockchain community and allow you to offer your skills for a worthy cause.
