Bridge over troubled water

Why Jesus wept?

Today Jesus is weeping over Jerusalem. The Son of God is crying for a city.

Like Jesus we have so many reasons to weep and cry; suffer and death from Covid-19, anxiety, loneliness, debt, despair, illness, global warming, hate, war and so on.

Where can we find hope and peace?

The reason Jesus wept over Jerusalem would show us the truth that we have to live with tears, sadness, suffer and hardness in life.

There is no magic to make dying things live, no authority to tell the whole truth, no politicians to satisfy all constituencies, and no way to escape fate that life brings about.

There is no way to peace; peace is the way.

If you want to see peace in the world, be the peace.

I see this in a song that inspires listeners to be a bridge for others.

Until we become a bridge over troubled water by laying ourselves down, we shall weep and cry. Let’s listen!
