My Andrew

Beautiful feet

Andrew was one of the disciples of John the Baptist who pointed out Jesus by saying, "Behold, the lamb of God"(John 1,36).

Andrew followed Jesus who asked him, "What are you looking for?" Andrew said, "Rabbi, where are you staying?" Jesus invited him, "Come, and you will see."

Since then Andrew's life completely changed. He went to his brother Simon Peter and told him, "We have found the Messiah." Then he brought Peter to Jesus.

We all have 'my Andrew'.

To me, my Andrew is my older brother who brought me to Jesus when I was fourteen years old. Without my brother, I wouldn't know Jesus nor find the Messiah.

Think about your my Andrew who brought you to Jesus! Where is he or she now? Do you see her sometimes, or pray for him? Without her or him, you won't be here so we are greatly indebt to them.

If we seek and find out my Andrew, we must say 'Thank you!' for the most valuable gift called faith.

When I said that to my older brother later, he shrugged off my compliment and said that he did what he was supposed to do.

"How beautiful are the feet of those who bring the good news!"(Rom 10,15)

It is true that my Andrew had done what he was called to do and became one of the beautiful feet that brought the good news.

Now it is our turn to be Andrew to someone who is looking for the Messiah.

Let's be my Andrew!
