쌍검대무
This painting is a paper handmade from mulberry trees, name is hanji. It is famous for traditional Korean materials for painting. Its shape is rectangle usually but this painting is square.
First, In the middle of this painting, a korea traditional two women dancers are dancing on a long mat unrolled from left to right with take swords in her arms at turning around. And in the middle of right, the other korea traditional woman dancer is dancing with take swords in her arms at looking straight ahead. They are wearing korea traditional cloths and In the middle of center, a woman is wearing skirt, its color is red, she is wearing a korea traditional hat. The painter’s sight focused to the woman. In the middle of right, the other dancer is wearing skirt, its color is light blue, she is wearing too.
Second, In the bottom of the painting, seven korea traditional musicians are sitting on the mat and playing with each other’s instruments. In the left top of middle in the painting, there are fives korea traditional men and women. They are sitting by order two men, two women, and one man from left on the mat and watching dancers. In the left, two men is wearing hats, color is black and in the right one man is wearing a hat, color is light yellow. In the between two men and one man, two women is sitting. In the left, one woman of them is wearing skirt, is blue and the other woman’s skirt is light blue color. Wearing blue color skirt the woman on left is smoking with a long and thin pipe. In the left below of their mat, one man in Korean white dress is sitting in the recumbent posture at a Dutch wife on the mat and watching the dancers.
Third, In the top right near corner, one man with a long and thin smoking pipe by his left hand is standing and watching the dancers. And he is wearing a white cloths. But he did not wear his hat.
One dancer in the left is passionful dancing like wind of storm. And the other dancer is heroic dancing like a general in standing front of enemy. By her movement, I can not see anybody. I felt as if I saw only her in this painting. The most of people are seeing her but they can not see her dancing. I think that she is very lonely and sadly. Because of I think that she is feeling in the people. She is dancing only her dancing.
