Today’s Topic

Nowadays, there are a lot of chain restaurants. List the general characteristics of them.

Yes, there are a lot of chain restaurants. Their general characteristics are as follows.

First, food prices are more reasonable than the food prices at private restaurants. Let me give an example. There are so many coffee shops near my house from very small private ones to very big famous ones.

I'm not sure that I can call coffee shops restaurants. But, anyway, I want to use coffee shops as examples. An item at a private one is so expensive even though the taste is not so good. So I don't like it.

Second, wherever I am, if it is the same chain, it makes me feel the same atmosphere. For example, when I sit at Starbucks in my neighborhood, it makes me feel as if I am sitting at Starbucks in Vienna in Austria, where I visited a few years ago with my husband and son.

On a rainy day like today, I sit at Starbucks in my neighborhood and miss that time. What a nostalgic thing it is! I think it is the top characteristic of chain restaurants that I can always feel anywhere.

Yes, there are a lot of chain restaurants. The (Their) general characteristics of them(X) are as follows: (follows.)

아하, 간략히 their general characteristics...

the first, (First,) the prices of foods (the prices of food) (OR: food prices) are more reasonable than the one of (food prices at) private restaurants.

the prices of food 또는 food prices
the food prices at private restaurant

Let me take (give) an example. There are so many coffee shops near my house from very small private one (ones) to very big famous one. (ones.)

하핫. give, an example 구나.
그치. coffee shops가 복수니까 받는 것도 복수가 되어야지. from very small private ones to very big famous ones

I'm not sure that I can call it restaurants for the(X) coffee shops, but (shops restaurants. But,) anyway(,) I want to take an example with (use) coffee shops. (shops as examples.)

I'm not sure that I can call coffee shops restaurants.
또 하나는 use... as examples라고.

The price of (An item at a) private one is so expensive even though it (the taste) is not so good taste. (good.) So I don't like it.

An item at a private one is so expensive.
오홋. it is good taste.라고 쓰는 게 아니라 the taste is good이라고 써야 하는구나. 아하.

The second, (Second,) wherever I am, if it is the same chain, it makes me feel the same atmosphere.

For example, when I sit at Starbucks in my neighborhood, it makes me feel as if I sit (am sitting) at Starbucks at (in) Vienna in Austria(,) where I have(X) visited a few years ago with my husband and son.

반복되어도 모두 in을 써야 함. in Vienna in Austria

On a rainy day like today, I sit at Starbucks in my neighborhood and miss that time. What a moody (nostalgic) thing it is! I think it is the top characteristic of chain restaurants that I can (always) feel it same in(X) anywhere.

I can always feel anywhere.
