What is conflict?

Today’s Topic

What is conflict? If you have ever been difficulty in handling a conflict, state your experience briefly.

Conflict is a situation where people have different opinions on something. Yes, I have ever experienced difficulty in handling a conflict. There was a boy I dated when I was at university. He always insisted, "Why don't you give your body when you say you love me? If you love me, you have to give your body as well as your mind."

But I didn't think so. I insisted, "If we love each other, you should refrain from asking me to give you my body until we are married. It is love when a man protects a woman's chastity." Those arguments were so strong for us that we parted. Now I think it's very ridiculous to make a decision depending on giving my body or not. It's not important whether to do it or not. It is more important to catch whether I love him or not. Even though I loved him, the only reason why I said goodbye to him was that he continuously asked me to give him my body. How stupid I was! It's a splendid thing to love someone. However, in my generation, our parents always pushed us to think that "It is the most important to prize chastity until wedding."

Conflict is having(a situation where people have) different opinion(opinions) on something. Yes, I have ever been(experienced) difficulty in handling a conflict. There was a boy I dated when I was in(at) university. He always insisted, "Why don't you give your body when you say you love me? If you love me, you have to give your body as well as your mind."

a situation where people have different opinions 그렇구나. 어떤 것에 다른 의견을 갖는 것. having different opinion on something라고 간단히 썼는데 opinion 은 복수도 아니요 관사도 안 붙였으니 틀린 것이요 conflict 가 주어인데 그냥 having을 쓰면 그게 말이 되는가. a situation을 써주고 where poeple have...
in college이고 at university 임을 기억하자.

But I didn't think so. I insisted, "If we love each other, you should refrain from mixing bodies(asking me to give you my body) until we are married. It is love that(when) a man protects a woman's chastity." Those arguments were so strong for us that we parted.

푸하하하. asking me to give you my body.
it.. that.. It is love when a man protects a woman's chastity.

Now I think it's very ridiculous to make (a) decision depending on giving my body or not. It's not important (whether) to do it or not. It is more important to catch whether I love him or not.

관사 쓰는 걸 잊지 말자. make a decision
It's not important whether to do it or not.

Even though I loved him, only the reason that he continuously asked me to give my body, I said bye to him.(the only reason why I said goodbye to him was that he continuously asked me to give him my body.)

그가 내 몸을 요구하는 단 한 가지 이유로 굿바이 했다는 순우리말 식이고 영어식으로는 굿바이 한 단 한 가지 이유는 그가 계속 내 몸을 요구했기 때문이다구나. the only reason why I said goodbye to him wast that he continuously asked me to give him my body.

How stupid I was! It's splendor(a splendid) thing to love someone. However(,) my parents(x) in my generation(, our parents) always pushed us to think (that) "It is the most important to prize chastity until wedding."

However, in my generation, our parents always pushed us to think...

We are thankful that you did your best to complete Step 4. We appreciate your determination to write a nice entry here. You tried to express some of your ideas in English successfully, and that was a good job! Just study the corrections well. Also, please take note of the following useful suggestions:

호홋. 일단 잘 썼다는 칭찬을 듣고 하하 기분 업업~ 푸하하하

1. Be more aware of the correct parts of speech.

splendor (noun)
splendid (adjective)

EXAMPLES:
It is a city with a passion for life in all its splendor.

We had a splendid time in Nice.

요럴 땐 명사. in all its splendor!
멋진 시간을 보냈어할 땐 형용사. have a splendid time

2. Take note:

at university (British English) in college (American English)

영국식은 at university 미국식은 in college

NOTE: Regarding the article the, it is used in a specific college or university, like in a situation when the person you are talking to knows what university it is or you mentioned about it beforehand.

EXAMPLES: A: I heard you went to Seoul University. B: Yes, that is right. I majored in communication at the university you mentioned.

할 때 at the university.

A: I know you are a fresh graduate. What was your major? B: I majored in communication in college.

갓 졸업했다가 a fresh graduate. 아하.
그냥 대학에서 무얼 전공했다엔 majored in....in college.

We hope the suggestions above are helpful to you. Keep on expressing yourself in English. They say that constant correct practice makes perfect, so we believe you can do it much better next time! We'll be here to help you improve your English writing skill every step of the way, so keep writing. :)
