난 요즘 50년 만에 만나는 선생님의 지휘 아래 선배 후배 모여 50주년 기념 연주회를 준비하느라 매주 서울을 들락거리고 있다. 그러니 울산에 있는 동안엔 남편에 대한 의리상 무조건 집을 지키기이다. 그런데 오늘 남편이 새벽부터 공치러 간단다. 오홋. 꿈틀대는 나의 본능. 도서관! 하하. 그가 가 있는 동안 혼자 집에 있지 말자. 혼자 집에 있으면 생각만큼 하고픈 것에 효율적으로 집중하지 못한다. 글을 써야 될 것도 많고 읽을 것도 많은 요즈음 말이다. 그래서! 서방님 나가자마자 난 준비에 들어간다. 싱크대를 좀 치워놓고 음식 쓰레기도 나가면서 버리도록 비닐봉지에 담아 현관문 앞에 두고 이것저것 어질러진 것을 슬쩍 대충 그러나 재빨리 정리해놓고 그리고 나갈 준비를 한다. 배낭에 노트북 챙기기가 젤 먼저. 하하 그렇게 난 여천천을 따라 한참을 걸어서 도서관에 도착했다. 이젠 3층 그 멋진 열람실로 가지 않는다. 디지털실이라고 맘껏 노트북을 두들겨댈 수 있는 곳으로 옮겼다. 여기서는 소리 신경 쓰지 않고 맘대로 빵빵 두들겨대도 된다. 문득 책이 읽고 싶으면? 그때 3층으로 후다닥 올라가면 된다. 거기서 책 좀 읽다가 다시 두들기러는 이 아래로 내려오면 된다. 혼자 집에 있으면 자꾸 무언가 딴짓을 하는 것 같다. 일단 도서관까지만 오면 성공이다. 그래서 나는 서방님 골프 간 이때 박차고 집을 나왔다. 음하하하 몇 시간 집중하여 밀린 일들을 후다다닥 해 치우 잣. 이 영어는 사실 급한 게 아닌데, 해도 그만 안 해도 그만인 건데, 이것 말고 해야 할 게 정말 많은데, 그런데 '딩동~ 첨삭이 완료되었습니다' 하며 등장하는 이 유혹을 나는 절대 뿌리칠 수가 없다. 요거 먼저 하고 하잣. 인생이란 그렇게 항상 원하는 대로, 정해진 대로, 순서대로 굴러가는 게 아니니까. 하하 난 내 맘 내키는 대로 살아가리라. 오케이 시작~

New Zealand immediately came to my mind as soon as I saw the question "Where is the best place in the world to travel on summer vacation?" But I hesitate to answer quickly because it is winter in New Zealand, not summer, although it is still summer to me who lives in the Republic of Korea. Anyway, it's summer in Korea, so I will write about my summer even though it is the story about winter in New Zealand.
In our country, it's so expensive to play golf, but we could enjoy playing golf almost every day without spending a lot of money in New Zealand. There was no caddy, so it was very inconvenient to play golf. Sometimes we missed the field in Korea where we can be helped by good caddies. We could eat many kinds of food in the golf course in New Zealand, but in our country, it was prohibited to take food in the golf course. We have to buy food in the green house in which most kinds of food are so expensive. Without golf, there were so many places with beautiful scenery, such as mountain, beach, lake, and so on. So I recommend visiting New Zealand during summer break. It's really cool.
