Kids. They are furious enough to snatch my hand from the mouse while adjusting the size of picture on the slide! They go to the toilet with a big announcement and sometimes ask for watching or help. Many more I can tell....but a pleasure to see them more while working from home!
One Saturday morning, I was with kids in the playroom without any device around. But I couldn't get rid of thoughts from last night web meeting. It was about 'how to help people to have a different perspective for planting trees?'
It was particularly about a company that is planting trees while using timbers for their own business and calling it 'doing good' or 'CSR'. That was for the team project of the From the Linear to Circular 2021, the cohort learning course by Ellen MacArthur Foundation.
So I suggested a concept and storytelling idea and the team decided to use my narrative to begin the presentation so I feel like visualising it for them. Firstly, I draw it on my note while my kids watch it.
Kids asked what is about so I tried my best to explain it and their feedback was the drawing is not colourful enough!
So I draw again with more colours and better writing. I did my best! Also, kids draw together their story on the other page of the note.
Thankfully another team member helped digitalise this drawing for usable professionally.
I am enjoying the time with kids while still doing some work-related stuff. Even my kids can help me!
BTW, Encanto is a great Disney movie. I feel bad a little bit when I read Alibaba (who stolen things and killing) or Cinderella but Encanto, I am very comfortable watching & singing with my kids.
