2021-22학년도 컬럼비아 대학 부가 에세이 주제
내년도 컬럼비아 대학의 에세이 주제는 비교적 간단하다. 시카고 대학 등 다른 대학에 비해 매우 심플하다.
우선 이 대학은 고등학교 시절에 교과과정으로 읽었던 책 제목을 제시하도록했다. 또한 이런 교과과정외에 읽었던 책과 연극 제목을 제시하도록 요청하고 있다.
또한 정기적으로 참여하고 있는 잡지 또는 디지털 출판물, 웹사이트, 저널, 팝 캐스트 등의 제목을 나열하도록 하고 있다. 고등학교 때 보았던 영화, 쇼, 박물관, 강연 등 엔터테인먼트를 열거하도록 하고 있다.
에세이라기보다, 비학업적인 활동을 보려는 것이다.
200단어 내외 짧은 에세이 주제는 가족, 학교, 친구 단체 또는 여러분을 둘러싸고 있는 다른 공동체에 기여한 한 가지를 이야기해 보라고 했다. 또한 왜 컬럼비아 대학에 오고 싶은 지를 이야기하라고 한다. 마지막으로 원서에 기재한 학업 영역에서 자신이 기재한 것에 대해 어떤 매력을 느끼고 있는지 설명해 보라고 했다.
뒷부분 마지막이 가장 힘든 부분이라고 생각된다. 200단어의 짧은 글이지만 결코 쓰기가 만만치 않다. 충분히 생각을 하고 나서 써야할 것으로 보인다.

Their actions, small or large, work to positively impact the lives of others. Share one contribution that you have made to your family, school, friend group, or another community that surrounds you. (200 words or fewer)
· Why are you interested in attending Columbia University? (200 words or fewer)
· Please tell us what from your current and past experiences (either academic or personal) attracts you specifically to the areas of study that you noted in the application. (200 words or fewer)
