함께 공부하는 Joan님과 Rosa님께
‘나의 하루’에 관해 한글과 영어로 간단히 적어보는 과제를 드렸습니다.
Joan님께서는 ‘어떤 하루를 말씀하시는 거죠?’라는 톡이 왔고
Rosa님께서는 ‘넵!’하고 쿨~하게 답이 왔습니다.
모두 ‘생각나는 대로, 떠오르는 대로... 마음대로’ 적어 달라 말씀드렸습니다.
그렇게 떠오르고 생각난 하루가 바로 일상이라고.
일상의 사전적 정의는 ‘날마다 반복되는 생활’이며,
영어단어 routine의 사전적 의미는,
1. 규칙적으로 하는 일의 통상적인 순서와 방법
2. (지루한 일상의) 틀, (판에 박힌) 일상
입니다.
‘반복, 지루한, 판에 박힌’ 등의 단어는 어떤 느낌이 드나요?
1. 직장인인 조안 님의 하루
(1) 나의 하루
매일 아침 6시 반에 알람이 울린다.
눈뜨면 핸드폰을 확인하고 날씨를 체크하며 시작한다.
씻고 준비한 후 간단히 아침을 먹고 전철을 탄다. 일상이다.
그날 기분과 컨디션에 따라
1시간 동안 인터넷 서치도 하고 유튜브 영상도 보고 가끔은 책을 읽는다.
9시 출근. 12시~1시 점심시간.
오늘은 무얼 먹을까 늘 고민한다. 별 약속이 없는 날엔 주로 구내식당을 이용한다.
6시 퇴근.
별 약속 없이 집에 오면 8시.
저녁을 먹고, 피곤한 날은 배달앱을 통해 시켜먹기도 한다.
다시 인터넷, 유튜브를 하거나 티브이를 보거나. 보고 싶은 영화를 보기도 한다
그렇게 별일 없는 날엔 11시에서 12시 사이 잠을 잔다.

The alarm goes off at 6:30 every morning.
When I open my eyes, I check my cell phone and check the weather.

It's routine.

According to my mood and condition,

의미적인 차이는 없지만 뒤에 어떤 감정이나 상태에 따라 좌우된다는 뜻일 때는 depending on을 사용
I surf the Internet for an hour, watch YouTube and sometimes read books in the subway.
→ , or read books on the subway from time to time.
→ I go to work at 9.
Lunch time from 12 to 1.
→I take lunch from 12 to 1.
I always think about what to eat today.
I usually use the cafeteria on days without appointments.
→ when I don't have any appointments.
I get off work at six.
8 o'clock I come home without any appointment.
→ I usually come home at 8 when I don't have much going on.
I eat dinner, and on a tired day, I order it through a delivery app.
→ on days when I'm too tired to do anything, I order dinner through the delivery app.
I watch internet, YouTube or TV again.
→ Then again, I go on the internet or watch YouTube or TV.
I sometimes watch movies I want to see.
→ I sometimes watch movies as well.
I sleep between 11 and 12 on those days.
→ On days like this, I go to bed around 11 to 12.
2. 주부 로사님의 하루
(1) 나의 하루
일어나 출근하는 남편. 대학생 딸을 위한 아침 준비
식구들이 나가면 간단히 청소.
특별한 약속 없으면 10시 미사 성당 가기
미사 후 집에 오거나 아님 같이 점심 먹기
점심 먹고 커피타임
집에 와서 집 정리. 저녁 시장보기. 저녁 준비.
퇴근하고 학교에서 온 식구들과 저녁. 설거지. 주방정리.
티브이 시청. 11시경 취침

< Rosa's routine >
wake up and prepare breakfast for my husband and college daughter
→ I wake up to prepare breakfast for my husband who gets ready to go to work and my college student daughter.
when the family goes out, I clean the house.
→ When everybody's out of the house, I start cleaning.
If I don't have a special appointment, I go to church for 10 o'clock Mass.
→ I attend the 10 o'clock Mass if I don't have anything special going on.
Usually I come home after mass or have lunch with my friends together.
→ I usually come straight home after mass or have lunch with my friends.
We have coffee time after lunchtime.
→ We have coffee after lunch.
After coming home, I clean up the house and prepare Dinner.
→ , I tidy up the house,
After having dinner, I wash the dishes and clean up the kitchen.
I go to bed around 11, watching my favorite dramas.
→ I watch my favorite show on TV before going to bed around 11.

어제보다 표정이 좋아요
오랜만에 보는 웃는 모습이
훨씬 그대에게는 어울리는 걸
어제 그대 집으로 가는 길
왜 그리 지쳐 보였었나요
하마터면 그댈 부를 뻔했죠
마침 목이 메어와 소리 낼 수 없어
기억하나요 이별한 날
냉정했던 내 어설픈 모습을
그렇지만 나 내내 그리워만 하다
이젠 그대를 매일 찾아가는 걸
조금 더 가까이 보고 싶어

언젠가 내가 지쳐버리면
남는 건 기억 속의 그대뿐

이 노래 속 나의 하루는.... 일상에서 접하는 우리의 하루와는 사뭇 다릅니다.
우리가 일반적으로 생각하는 일상적 나의 하루에서 벗어나
누군가를 생각하고, 그리워하고, 사랑하는 시간 속에
나의 하루는
참 특별한 날임에 틀림없습니다.
