Hello. I'm Lorena. I come from Spain. I'm 28 years old. I work in Korea. I'm fashion and beatuy editor, stylist and contents creator.
안녕하세요. 로레나에요. 스페인 사람이고, 28살이에요. 한국에서 일하고 있어요. 패션과 뷰티 에디터, 스타일리스트, 그리고 콘텐츠 크리에이터에요.
Q. How long have you lived in Korea?
한국에서 산 지 얼마나 되었어요?
I have lived... It was 2 years in January. I just loved it. I just love Seoul. It has so many things to do. It's so lively. I like Korean people very similar way of living to Spanish. ANd I like the food culture as I like to eat. And then cafe culture and just like so lively. And there are so many things to see and to do. That is just very amazing. I just love it.
한국에 산지.... 지난 1월에 2년이 되었어요. 너무 좋아요. 그냥 서울이 좋아요. 할 것들이 정말 많이 있어요. 정말 활기가 넘쳐요. 한국 사람들이 좋은 게 스페인 사람들하고 비슷해서인데요. 제가 먹는 걸 좋아해서 음식 문화도 좋아하고, 카페 문화라던지 생기 있는 한국이 좋아요. 볼 것들이나 할 것들이 정말 많아서 놀라워요. 좋아요.
Q. What do you like the best in Korea?
한국에서 가장 좋은 게 뭐에요?
Okay. Because I'm a foodie. If we don't take into consideration fashion, art and all the stuff which is what brought me here. I have to say food and with friends here.
저는 푸디이기 때문에 패션이나 예술 같은 것들을 빼고 말한다면, 사실 그 이유들로 한국에 왔지만, 제가 좋아하는 건 음식들과 친구들이에요.
Q. What's your favorite Korean food?
한국에서 가장 좋아하는 음식은?
That's very hard. I cannot say one. I can give you top 10. I really like 떡볶이 but like 신당동 떡볶이 that one has everything like ramen and oden and everything. I really like 닭갈비, 매운 갈비찜. I really like 김치찌개, 만두, 잡채, 짜장면, 뚝불. Anything spicy I really like it.
정말 어려워요. 하나만 말할 수 없어요. 가장 좋아하는 10가지 말해볼게요. 떡볶이를 좋아하는데, 특히 신당동 떡볶이라고, 라면이나 오뎅같은 모든 게 다 들어있는 거에요. 닭갈비, 매운 갈비찜도 좋아하고, 김치찌개, 만두, 잡채, 짜장면, 뚝불... 그리고 모든 매운 음식들을 다 좋아해요!
Q. What's your good memory in Korea?
한국에서 기억에 남는 것은?
I have a lot of good memories. I think, of course, if you live abroad, there are certain things are difficult or hard. Because you are in a place as a foreign land. You don't have your family or friends at the beginning. Then you make a new family and new friends like that. So I do have top memories in Korea. But most of my time here has been very happy. So I'm very glad and thankful to be able to be here.
많은 좋은 기억들이 있어요. 물론, 해외에서 산다고 할 때, 어렵고 힘든 점들은 분명히 있어요. 외국에 있기 때문에, 가족이나 친구들도 처음에는 없죠. 그리고 나서 새로운 가족이나 새로운 친구들이 생겨요. 한국에서의 가장 좋았던 기억들도 있지만, 한국에서의 전반적인 생활이 모두 행복해요. 한국에 있어서 정말 기쁘고 감사해요.
Q. What do you think the difference between Spain and Korea?
스페인과 한국의 다른 점은?
I don't know. Sometimes I feel like Spain and Korea are very very simillar and some other things they are very very different. For example, like the culture respecting elders or being loud somewhere it's kind of very similar between Korea and Spain. Like if you go to a cafe or restaurant, people are very kind of lively, you know. And that's the same in Spain or you have to respect your elders. Those kinds of things are very similar. But then other time, for example, working culture. We also work a lot in Spain. But it's different like working atmosphere. I don't know but the biggest difference it will be. Sometimes Korean people don't say the thing what they think. But in Spain, we always just say it. It doesn't matter we just say it.
잘 모르겠지만, 저는 종종 스페인과 한국은 매우 비슷한 것 같아요. 그리고 다른 것들은 아주 아주 다르기도 해요. 예를 들어서, 웃어른을 공경하는 문화라던지, 특정 장소에서 시끄러운 건 매우 비슷해요. 한국과 스페인 간에 말이에요. 카페나 음식점에 갔을 때, 사람들은 정말 활기가 넘치잖아요. 스페인에서도 마찬가지에요. 그리고 웃어른 공경도 꼭 해야하구요. 이런 것들이 매우 비슷해요. 그런데 다른 것들은, 예를 들어서, 일 문화에요. 스페인에서도 일을 많이 하지만, 다른 일 문화를 가지고 있어요. 가장 큰 차이점은 아마도, 가끔 한국인들은 생각하는 걸 그대로 말하지 않는데, 스페인에서는 그냥 그대로 말해요. 어떤 걸 말하든지 상관 안해요.
Q. What's your goal?
앞으로의 계획은?
My goal... I don't have just one goal. I have many goals. One of them, I really really want to learn Korean very good like perfectly. I will, maybe never be a native speaker but big as well as the other languages that I speak at least I can speak fluently in conversation and read and write everything. I really wanna achieve my dreams here in fashion and media industry. I really wanna make a difference. And I just wanna be overally happy here.
저의 계획은 한 가지가 아니에요. 정말 많이 있어요. 그 중에 하나는, 바로 한국어를 배우는 것이에요. 완벽하게 잘 배우고 싶어요. 저는 절대로 한국인처럼 될 수는 없겠지만, 제가 다른 언어들을 할 수 있는 것만큼만 하면 좋겠어요. 최소한 대화에서 유창하다던지, 읽고 쓰기 같은 모든 걸 잘하고 싶어요. 패션과 미디어에서 꿈을 이루고 싶고, 큰 변화를 이끌고 싶어요. 그리고 항상 행복하고 싶어요.
