2022년 12월 6일 화요일, 거기엔 눈이 왔을까.

청소를 하다가 오래된 피아노 악보 한 권이 눈에 들어왔다. 1992년쯤에 샀던 기억이 난다. 조지 윈스턴의 ‘December’. 청명한 피아노 소리가 너무 아름다워서 직접 연주해 보겠다고 구입을 했었다. 곡을 완성하기 전에 결혼을 했고 피아노 뚜껑은 거의 닫혀 있었다. 아기를 낳았고 아들은 걸음마를 시작하면서 이 책 저 책을 끄집어내어 낙서를 했다. 연습하려고 했던 ‘Thanksgiving’의 마지막 페이지에는 초록색 색연필의 낙서가 휘갈겨져 있다.

지금은 감사하다. 그 아들이 훌쩍 성장하여 제법 어른 티가 난다. 아들이 구매해준 태블릿 pc에다 이렇게 일기도 쓰고 조지 윈스턴의 음악도 들을 수 있다. 다행히 형광펜으로 낙서를 했기 때문에 오선과 까만 음표가 보여서 악보를 읽을 수는 있다. 30년 전에 시도하고 까맣게 잊고 있었던 곡을 쳐봐야겠다. 세월이 빠르구나. 올 해도 벌써 12월에 와 있다. 갈수록 시간의 속도는 빠르다는데…

Did it snow there on Tuesday? December 6, 2022.

While cleaning an old piano sheet music have come into my eyes. I remember buying it around 1992. George Winston’s ‘December’. The sound of the clear piano was so beautiful that I bought it to play myself. I got married before I finished the song and the piano lid was almost closed.  I gave birth to a baby. When my son started walking he scribbled this book and that book. There is graffiti with green colored pencil on the last page of ‘Thanksgiving’ I was going to practice.

Now I'm grateful. My son has grown up, so he’s quite an adult. On the tablet PC my son bought, I can write a diary like this and listen to George Winston’s music. Fortunately, It was scribbled with a highlighter, so I can read the score by showing the mist and black notes. I will practice the song that I tried 30 years ago but forgot. Time flies so fast. It’s already December. Someone says that the speed of time is getting faster...
