챗GPT의 사용후기를 느지막이 올려본다. 서너 달쯤 전인가 챗GPT 열풍이었을 때, (물론 지금도 AI챗봇에 대한 열품은 여전하지만) 과연 이 AI가 어떠한 결과물을 내게 줄 것인가에 대한 기대감은 매우 컸다. 그 결과물이 어떠했는지에 대해서는 사실 아직도 반신반의이다. 하지만 이 챗GPT란 놈은 분명 위험하고도 섹시한 놈인 것은 분명하다.
*우선, 챗GPT는 영어로 질문을 입력하는 것이 낫다. 이래저래 말들 많은데 파파고를 쓰던 구글번역기를 쓰던 영어로 입력하는 것이 낫다.
[chatGPT 도전1][첫 번째 시도]
엔터테인먼트를 업(?)으로 삼고 있는 사람으로서 엔터업계에 관한 질문으로부터 모든 것은 시작된다. 나의 첫 번째 질문(?) 과제(?)는 '사랑과 우정사이의 갈등에 관한 팝뮤직의 가사가 필요하다'였다.

파파고와 구글번역기가 있으니, 번역은 생략하겠다. 우선 첫 번째 시도치 고는 나쁘지 않은 느낌이었다. 그냥 막 쓸 수 있는 기성품의 느낌이 강했다. 벌스, 코러스, 브릿지 등 가사의 구조는 잘 잡아주었으나, 가사의 내용을 보면 다소 1차원적이라고 해야 할까? 아니면 '사랑과 우정'이라는 것이 너무나도 한국적인 감성의 단어였을까? 감정을 담은 가사라고 하기엔 다소 무리가 있었다.

이제부터는 뭔가 챗GPT와 나와의 싸움이 시작된 느낌이다. '자 어디 한번 받아쳐봐' 더 글로리의 대사가 떠오른다. 감정이 반영돼야 되는 글에 있어서는 실력이 부족한 건지 아니면 아직 답변하기가 싫은 건지 갈피를 잡을 수가 없다. 순수하게 정보에만 집중되어 있는 매우 심플한 과제로 테스트해 봐야겠다.

정보의 영역에서는 사실 실망했고 실망했던 찰나, 이놈이 마지막 문장으로 비켜나갔다. '이건 샘플이지롱. 네놈의 개취에 따라 달라지지롱' 우선 이 마지막 문장 때문에 굉장히 열받은 상태가 되었다. 항상 뭔가 여지를 남기는 느낌이랄까. 또한 결과물 자체도 훌륭한 수준은 아니었다. 일반적인 easy 검색을 통해서 얻을 수 있는 결과와 크게 다르지 않았다. 사실 내가 원하는 기대답변은 "OOO님에게 맞는 호텔은 OOO호텔입니다. 무조건 거기로 가세요' 정도였으나, 그 그 정도는 기대할 수 없었다. 물론 몇몇 스팟들은 제공해 주었으나 그것도 매우 특별한 무엇은 아니었다.
[중간점검]
세 번째 정도 시도를 하고 중간점검을 해 본다. 감정의 영역에서의 창작은 가능한 것으로 보이나, 그것이 과연 대중을 후킹 할 만한 소재인가에 대한 의문이 든다. 정보의 편집과 재가공의 영역에서의 자료는 구조적으로 역시 잘 잡혀있으나, 그냥 검색하는 것보다 특별히 우월한 점은 찾을 수 없다. 인스타그램에서 해시태그 검색하는 것이 더 나을 것 같기도 하다. 단 세 번의 시도만으로 챗GPT를 다 알 수는 없을 것 같다. 어차피 이 녀석하고의 싸움은 시작되었다. 중간점검으로 하나의 답을 찾긴 한 것 같다.
이것은 일종의 손병호게임 같은 것이다. 빠져나갈 수 없는 질문을 해서 손가락을 접게 만들어야 한다. 내가 질문하는 것 자체가 일반적일수록 일반적인 답변이 나올 확률이 높은 것 같다. 자 그럼 조금 더 구체적인 질문의 영역으로 가보자
