안녕하세요,
10년이상 함께 근무했던 친구가 1년 정도 여친과 함께 세계 여행을 하겠다고 회사를 그만 두었고, 오늘이 마지막 근무날이었습니다. 동료들은 버추얼 파티를 열어 그 친구 앞날을 축하해주었지요.
저도 그 용기에 박수를 보내고, 또 좀더 어렸을때(!) 저는 왜 그렇게 못살았나, 하는 후회도 살짝 들었습니다. 6개월, 1년 이렇게 갭이어를 갖는건 정말 좋을 것 같아요. 다만 안정된 자리/직장/수입원을 그만두고 가야하는 건 정말 큰 용기이지요.
이 친구에게 짤막한 노트를 보내려고 draft를 썼습니다. 이번에도 또 큰 실수를 할 뻔 했습니다 (이전엔 tried==> fired로 잘못보냈던 경우가 있었답니다).
서로 성공하도록 격려해줬다, 가, 밀어버렸다, 가 될 뻔 했습니다. Send 버튼 누르기 직전에 thrust⇒ thrive로 맞게 수정했답니다. 휴~~!!

It was so much fun working with you for the last ten years at (company name). You were a good friend, consultant, adviser, and co-worker, (and sometimes co-slacker, too ;;).
