쓰기] #44 챙피하지만 제 쓰기 연습장을 공개합니다
아직도 시제, 관사(a) 사용 등 많이 틀립니다 ㅠ.ㅠ

안녕하세요.
오늘은 제가 매일매일 쓰기 연습을 어떻게 하는지, 오늘 공부한 내용 중 일부를 샘플로 갖고 왔습니다.
저 아직도 엄청 많이 틀리기 때문에, 이렇게 공개하는게 많이 챙피합니다~ 다만 함께 배우고자 하는 희생정신으로^^ 전격 공개~~
먼저 제 쓰기 연습팁을 간단히 정리하면요, 저는 매일매일 짧은 문장을 작문하고, 또 제가 보냈던 개인적인 메일이 있으면 이미 보낸 후에라도, 개인 튜터랑 하나하나 리뷰를 합니다. 같은 실수를 반복하지 않으려구요. 물론 늘 같은 실수가 나오긴 하지만, 신경을 좀더 곤두세우면서(!) 쓰고, rewriting도 몇번하면 많이 줄어 들더라구요. 쓰기 연습은 영어 정확성을 높여줍니다. 우리가 말을 할때는 후루룩~ 해버리기 때문에 관사를 쓰는지 않쓰는지, 틀려도 그냥 넘어가는데, writing에서는 하나하나 정확해야하니까요.
매일 한두 문장이라도 쓰는 연습을 하시기를 추천합니다. 그리고 원어민과 proof review 리뷰를 하는게 아주 중요합니다.
아래 초안이 제가 쓴 draft 이고 (오늘 초안은 제가 두번 보지도 않아서인지--핑계!!-- 기본적인 부분에서 틀린 부분이 많네요), 수정버전에서 굵게 표시한 부분이 수정된 부분 입니다. 물론 writing은 개인의 스타일에 따라 다르기 때문에 한가지 표현이 맞다라고 볼 수는 없겠는지만, 한번 비교해 보시면 도움이 되실 듯 합니다.
오늘 쓰기 샘플에서 제가 틀렸던 부분 중 중요한 것은 ;
1) 시제가 틀렸었습니다
현재 ⇒ 현재 완료 시제
과거 ⇒ 과거 완료 시제
2) Only의 위치가 틀렸네요. Only 는 강조하는 내용 앞에 와야할 것을 엉뚱한 곳에 넣었어요.
3) 관사 사용
추상명사 앞에서는 a 는 뺐어야 했습니다. personal prosperity, social change
Belated Happy New Year 앞에는 “a”를 넣어야했구요. 예) Happy New Year! 이지만 Have a Happy New Year! 입니다. Have a Merry Christmas!
4) 어순 : I want to hear your story more.. ⇒ I want to hear more of your story…
5) 동사구 : Believe ⇒ Believe in, Bring ⇒ bring about
제 연습장 : 아래 초안에서 어떤게 이상한지 한번 생각해 보세요.

Thanks so much for sharing how you have been doing and what you are working on. I am sure the activity you are engaged in is so important that our society moves forward in a better way. I always believe Howard Zinn's quote that there is no neutrality over the running train. Action in solidarity only can make a difference. Thank you for your doing this and I am rooting for you.
Also, it is great to hear that toastmasters have been helpful in your public speaking skills. I have not thought of this side yet. This is a great encouragement to me as well. Practicing public speaking skills can be used not only to achieve a personal prosperity but also to bring a social change. Another reason to practice the skills!
I hope we can hear your story more sometime in the Toastmaster club.
