“Wind at Tindari”
(Tindari, mite ti so)
Gentle Tindari I know you well between wide mountains suspended above the waters of the sweet islands of god, today you seize me and invade my heart. I climb ethereal peaks, precipices assailed by the winds of the pine trees their company lightly accompanies me disappearing through the air waves of sounds and love and you take me from whatever evil holds me and the fears of shadows and silence to take refuge in the sweetness of ancient time and the death of the soul. That place is unknown to you there where everyday I drown and the secrete syllables are nourished; another light is shed upon you through the windows in the clothes darkness and joy never rests upon your bosom. Exile is bitter and the search which ends in you today the harmony has changed into the anxiety of premature death and every love is a shield from sadness silenced by the passing darkness where you have placed me to break bitter bread. Serene Tindari return gentle friend, awaken me that I may stretch out towards the heavens from the cliffs and imagine the awe to one who doesn’t know of the deep wind that has searched for me.
