A thing is not necessarily true because a man dies for it. What is Truth? In matters of religion, it is simply the opinion that has survied. In matters of science, it is the ultimate sensation. In matters of art, it is one’s last mood.

인간이 무언가를 위해 죽는다고 해서 그것이 반드시 진실인 것은 아니다. 진실이 무엇인가? 종교에서의 진실은 단지 살아남은 견해일 뿐이다. 과학에서의 진실은 궁극적 감각이다. 예술에서의 진실은 우리의 마지막 느낌이다.
