The past is of no importance. The present is of no importance. It is with the future that we have to deal. For the past is what man should not have been. The present is what man ought not to be. The future is what artists are.

과거는 중요하지 않다. 현재도 중요하지 않다. 우리가 다루어야 할 것은 다름아닌 미래다. 과거는 우리가 ‘되지 말았어야 할 모습’이고, 현재는 ‘우리가 되지 말아야 할 모습’이고, 미래는 ‘예술가의 모습’이기 때문이다.
