[9탄] 특별한 건 언제나

지렁이 섬으로 놀러 간 보우 이야기

여섯 마리 오리들이 지렁이 섬에서 신나게 놀고 있을 때

아주 큰 그림자가 드리워지는 걸 느꼈어요.

위를 올려다보니

왜가리 한 마리가 아기 오리들을 쳐다보고 있었어요.

아기 오리들은 저렇게 길고 삐쭉한 모양의 새를 처음 보지만 한눈에 위험한 동물이라는 걸 알아챌 수 있었죠.

"꺄아악!!"

아기 오리들은 너무 놀란 나머지

한 곳에 뭉쳐서 벌벌 떨고 있었어요. ​

"흠....."

왜가리는 아기 오리를 바로 낚아채지 않고

유심히 쳐다보았어요.

"너희들은 내가 오늘 이미 배부르게 먹은 것을

행운으로 알아."

왜가리는 아기 오리 주변을 빙 둘러싸듯 걸으며

말을 이었어요. ​

"하지만 오랜만에 귀여운 녀석들을 만났으니

딱 한 마리는 잡아먹어야겠다."

왜가리를 눈을 부릅뜨며 보우를 쳐다보았어요

네 녀석 참 맛있게 생겼구나.

빛깔이 고운 것이.. 특별한 건 언제나 맛있단 말이지.

하며 서서히 보우 쪽으로 다가왔어요.

보우는 너무 무서워서 눈을 꼭 감고 머리를 숙이고

벌벌 떨었어요.

"You look so delicious." The beautiful color... Special things are always delicious."

And slowly approached Bow. Bow was so scared that I closed my eyes tightly,

bowed my head, and trembled.
