논스 초기 발자취 - 논스 소개글(18.09.17)

논스는 미래 혁명가들을 위한 베이스캠프로서 블록체인 개발자, 연구자, 크리에이터, 기업가, 철학자, 예술가가 모여 살며 일할 수 있는 코리빙/워킹 공간을 운영하고 있습니다. 논스의 첫 번째 코리빙/워킹 공간인 “논스 제네시스"는 강남역 부근의 한적한 주택가에 위치하고 있으며 블록체인 기술에 대한 장기적 믿음과 분산화의 철학을 공유하는 개인, 기업, 커뮤니티를 지원하고 있습니다. 현재 약 60명의 사람들이 거주하거나 업무를 하고 있습니다.
논스는 크게 다음과 같이 3가지 역할을 수행합니다
Curate: 블록체인 업계가 신뢰할 수 있는 사람을 분별하는 것이 어려운 만큼 저희는 입주자 한 분 한 분에 대한 개별 심층 인터뷰를 통해 “신뢰할 수 있는 분들”만을 논스 멤버로 모시고 있습니다. 입주기준으로서는 순수함, 장기적 비전, 오픈소스 및 공유정신, 커뮤니티에 대한 믿음 등이 있습니다.
Connect: 다양한 행사(밋업, 해커톤, 파티 등)를 통해 입주하신 논스 멤버분들을 개연결시켜 드림으로서 시너지를 창출하고 있습니다. 또한 가장 중립적인 커뮤니티로서 최대한 편견없이 많은 개인, 기업 및 커뮤니티간의 연결을 돕는 역할을 하고 있습니다.
Cultivate: 초기 기업들에 대한 투자 및 인큐베이션을 진행하고 있으며 다양한 비영리 학회 및 스터디 모임에 대한 공간후원을 통해 블록체인 생태계를 긍정적인 방향으로 발전시키려 노력하고 있습니다.
논스는 단순히 한국 블록체인 프로젝트뿐 아니라 전 세계의 다양한 사람들과 프로젝트들을 지원할 수 있는 공간이 되기를 꿈꾸고 있습니다. 이와 더불어 한국을 방문하여 함께 블록체인 생태계를 키워나갈 분들이 꼭 방문해야 하는 공간이 되는 것이 저희의 목표입니다
nonce is a basecamp for future rebels. It runs a co-living/working space that is specifically designed to house blockchain engineers, researchers, creators, entrepreneurs, philosophers and artists. “nonce genesis”, the first co-living/working space of nonce, is located at a quiet residential quarter at Gangnam area. We support individuals, companies and communities who share long-term belief in the blockchain technology and the philosophy of decentralization. Currently about 60 nonce members are either living or working at nonce.
Generally, nonce does three following things:
Curate: As it becomes increasingly hard to find trustworthy people in the blockchain industry, we curate our members based on criteria such as genuine interest, long-term vision, open-source and sharing mind-set, or strong belief in community.
Connect: We hold events such as meet-ups, hackathons or parties to connect our members with different blockchain companies and communities to create mutually beneficial relations. As the most neutral blockchain platform in Korea, we are dedicated to inter-personal, inter-industry and inter-community connectivity.
Cultivate: We invest and incubate early-stage start-ups and sponsor various non-profit study groups and community activities to make positive contribution to the blockchain ecosystem in Korea
Our hope is that the building becomes more than just blockchain projects out of Korea and will house an eclectic collection of interesting projects and people from all over the globe. Creating the go-to spot for anyone who might be visiting Korea and adding value is what we wish to become.
