첫 캐나다 UX디자이너 인터뷰 자기소개 공유
6년 차 토종 한국 디자이너 캐나다에서 취업하기
23년 1월 3일 아침에 링크드인으로 HR팀에게서 다이렉트로 면접 제안이 왔다.
미국에 본사를 둔 5000명 이상의 IT기업이었다.
당일 오후에 바로 전화 인터뷰 요청을 주셔서 감사한 마음으로 인터뷰를 보았다.
HR 담당자분께서 인도 억양이 강하여 리스닝하는 것에 어려움이 어느 정도 있었지만,
들어야 하는 포인트 부분은 잘 이해하여 답변했던 것 같다.

평소에 자기소개를 준비해놓지 않아서 급하게 유튜브와 GPT의 힘을 빌려 자기소개를 준비하였다.
I started my career as a uiux designer, i had worked as a uiux design manager and project manager for 3 years, I am currently working as a freelance. So all I have 6 years experience
As a uiux designer manager, I have been manage over 30 IT projects with various platforms (web, mobile, back-office) and e-commerce, IoT, NFT, community, etc.)
Some of my key projects include collaborations with SM Entertainment (Meta Passport), Samsung (Healthcare), and KT
And I educated the other branch's designer members to enhance the design quality which has led to a great result that they got a recognition from all the employees at the headquarters in Korea.
I understand that this position requires to have
proficiently use and work within a design system
Create and assess design solutions based on user research data and user goals
While working as a Design Manager, I led the team to create a design system, successfully increasing workflow efficiency.
As a result, we were able to establish a unified design system that enables seamless collaboration among managers, designers, and developers
and While working in financial services, I set hypotheses and, through user analysis, managed to increase user retention by 4%

문법이나 말들이 정확하게 정리된 내용은 아니지만 경력소개, 어치브먼트, 자격조건강조 구조로 정리를 하였다.
결론적으로는 1차 전화 인터뷰는 합격을 하게 되어 당장 다음 주에 프로덕트 매니저 및 실무진과 포트폴리오 미팅이 잡혔다.
23년 11월 21일부터 본격적으로 취업 전선에 뛰어들어 지원하기 시작하였으니 약 한 달 만에 첫 인터뷰를 보고 합격을 한 격이다.
어떤 점을 보고 연락을 주게 되었는지 만약 최종 합격을 하게 된다면 물어보고 또 글을 써보려 한다.
확실히 새해가 되니 얼어붙었던 채용시장도 살금살금 활성화되고 있는 게 아닐지 조심스레 생각해본다.
