테이트, 충격적이고 좋았던 전시

테이트 모던 Maria Bartuszová 전시를 보러 왔다. 프라하 태생 슬로바키아 작가. 

오가닉 형태에 관심이 많았던 작가. 여러 가지 시도들과 작가의 탐구가 다양한 조각에서 드러났다.

She shaped the sculptures by pushing, pulling, or submerging them into water, creating unique and distinct shapes. Some suggest raindrops, seeds or eggs, others the human body. Later, she allowed the balloons to burst, creating delicate works similar to cocoons or nests.

자연과 같이 설치한 이런 작품이 특히 좋았음

그리고 다른 전시, MAGDALENA ABAKANOWICZ, 6-70년대 폴란드인 작가.

이런 플랫 한 텍스타일에서 시작된 전시는

페인팅도 있었고

어떤 오브제에서 영감을 받았는지 알 수 있던 작가의 스튜디오 샷.

그리고 대망의 Abakans이라고 작가가 명명한 이 텍스타일 덩어리들. 

They were soft not hard; ambiguous and organic; towering works that hung from the ceiling and pioneered a new form of installation. They became known as the Abakans.  .

힘이 느껴지는 작품들이었다. 어마어마했다.

I am interested in the scale of tensions that arises between the various shapes which i place in space.

둘 다 너무 다른 느낌으로 좋았다.

베니스 비엔날레 위성 전시에서 봤던 페인팅. 좋아서 기억하고 있는데 도록이 있더라. 

늘 거리공연이 펼쳐지는 테이트 앞. 오늘은 호기심 많은 아기까지 있었음.
