인생과 국가에 재앙이 오는 이유

1. 메대 족속 아하수에로의 아들 다리우스가 바빌로니아 나라의 왕이 된 첫 해,
In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of the seed of the Medes, which was made king over the realm of the Chaldeans;
2. 곧 그가 통치한 첫 해에, 나 다니엘은 거룩한 책들을 공부하면서, 주께서 예레미야 예언자에게 하신 말씀, 곧 예루살렘이 칠십 년 동안 황폐한 상태로 있을 것을 생각하여 보았다.
In the first year of his reign I Daniel understood by books the number of the years, whereof the word of the LORD came to Jeremiah the prophet, that he would accomplish seventy years in the desolations of Jerusalem.
3. 응답을 들으려고, 나는 금식을 하면서, 베옷을 걸치고, 재를 깔고 앉아서, 하나님께 기도를 드리면서 간구하였다.
And I set my face unto the Lord God, to seek by prayer and supplications, with fasting, and sackcloth, and ashes:
4. 나는 주 나의 하나님께 기도하면서, 백성의 죄를 고백하고 아뢰었다. ○"위대하시고 두려우신 주 하나님, 하나님을 사랑하며 하나님의 계명을 지키는 사람들에게 언약과 인자를 베푸시는 하나님!
And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5. ○우리가 죄를 짓고 잘못을 저질렀습니다. 악한 일을 저지르며, 반역하며, 주의 계명과 명령을 떠나서 살았습니다.
We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6. 우리는, 주의 종 예언자들이 주의 이름으로 우리의 왕과 지도자와 조상과 모든 백성에게 말하는 것을 듣지 않았습니다.
Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
7. 주님, 주께서는 언제나 의로우십니다. 그러나 우리는 오늘처럼 낯뜨거운 수치를 당합니다. 유다에 사는 사람이나 예루살렘에 사는 주민이나, 가까운 데나 먼 데, 곧 이스라엘 사람으로서 흩어져 사는 사람이, 주께서 쫓아내신 그 모든 땅에서 수치를 당하고 있습니다. 이것은 그들이 주께 죄를 지었기 때문입니다.
O Lord, righteousness [belongeth] unto thee, but unto us confusion of faces, as at this day; to the men of Judah, and to the inhabitants of Jerusalem, and unto all Israel, [that are] near, and [that are] far off, through all the countries whither thou hast driven them, because of their trespass that they have trespassed against thee.
8. 주님, 우리와 우리의 왕과 지도자와 조상이 낯뜨거운 수치를 당한 것은 우리가 주께 죄를 지었기 때문입니다.
O Lord, to us [belongeth] confusion of face, to our kings, to our princes, and to our fathers, because we have sinned against thee.
9. 주 우리 하나님은 우리를 긍휼히 여겨 주시고 용서하여 주셨으나, 우리는 하나님께 반역하였습니다.
To the Lord our God [belong] mercies and forgivenesses, though we have rebelled against him;
10. 우리가 우리 주 하나님께 순종하지도 않고, 하나님의 종 예언자들을 시키셔서 우리에게 말씀하여 주신 율법도 따르지 않았습니다.
Neither have we obeyed the voice of the LORD our God, to walk in his laws, which he set before us by his servants the prophets.
11. 참으로 온 이스라엘이 주께 순종하지 않고, 주의 율법을 어기고 벗어났으므로, 하나님의 종 모세의 율법에 기록된 벌과 저주가 우리에게 내렸습니다. 이것은 우리가 주께 죄를 지었기 때문입니다.
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that [is] written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.
12. 주님은 우리에게 큰 재앙을 내리셔서, 우리와 우리를 다스리는 통치자들에게 하신 말씀들을 이루셨습니다. 예루살렘에 내린 것과 같은 재앙은 하늘 아래 그 어느 곳에서도 없던 것입니다.
And he hath confirmed his words, which he spake against us, and against our judges that judged us, by bringing upon us a great evil: for under the whole heaven hath not been done as hath been done upon Jerusalem.
13. 모세의 율법에 기록된 대로 이 모든 재앙이 우리에게 미쳤습니다. 그런데 아직도 우리는 죄의 길에서 돌아서지 않았습니다. 하나님의 진리를 따라 살지 않았습니다. 이렇게 우리는 주 우리 하나님께 은혜를 구하려 하지 않습니다.
As [it is] written in the law of Moses, all this evil is come upon us: yet made we not our prayer before the LORD our God, that we might turn from our iniquities, and understand thy truth.
14. 주께서 재앙을 간직해 두셨다가 우리에게 미치게 하신 것은, 주 우리 하나님이 하시는 모든 일은 의로우신데, 우리가 말씀에 순종하지 않은 까닭입니다.
Therefore hath the LORD watched upon the evil, and brought it upon us: for the LORD our God [is] righteous in all his works which he doeth: for we obeyed not his voice.
15. ○강한 손으로 주의 백성을 이집트 땅에서 인도하여 내시고, 오늘과 같은 명성을 얻으신 주 우리 하나님, 우리가 죄를 짓고, 악한 일을 저질렀습니다.
And now, O Lord our God, that hast brought thy people forth out of the land of Egypt with a mighty hand, and hast gotten thee renown, as at this day; we have sinned, we have done wickedly.
16. 주님, 주께서 지난 날에 우리를 구하여 주셨으니, 이제 주의 성 예루살렘 곧 주의 거룩한 산으로부터 주의 분노를 떠나게 해주십시오. 우리의 죄와 우리 조상의 죄악 때문에, 예루살렘과 주의 백성이 우리 주위에 있는 민족들에게 멸시를 받습니다.
O Lord, according to all thy righteousness, I beseech thee, let thine anger and thy fury be turned away from thy city Jerusalem, thy holy mountain: because for our sins, and for the iniquities of our fathers, Jerusalem and thy people [are become] a reproach to all [that are] about us.
17. 우리의 하나님, 이제 주의 종의 기도와 간구를 들어 주십시오. 무너진 주의 성전을 복구하여 주십시오. 성전을 복구하셔서, 주님만이 하나님이시라는 것을 모두가 알게 해주십시오.
Now therefore, O our God, hear the prayer of thy servant, and his supplications, and cause thy face to shine upon thy sanctuary that is desolate, for the Lords sake.
18. 나의 하나님, 귀를 기울이시고 들어 주십시오. 눈을 크게 뜨시고, 우리가 황폐해진 것과 주의 이름을 빛내던 이 도성의 고통을 굽어보아 주십시오. 우리가 이렇게 주께 간구하는 것은, 우리가 잘나서가 아니고, 주께서 자비하시기 때문입니다.
O my God, incline thine ear, and hear; open thine eyes, and behold our desolations, and the city which is called by thy name: for we do not present our supplications before thee for our righteousnesses, but for thy great mercies.
19. 주님, 들어 주십시오. 주님, 용서하여 주십시오. 주께서 들어 주시고, 이루어 주십시오. 나의 하나님, 만민이 주께서 하나님이심을 알아야 하니, 지체하지 마십시오. 이 도성과 이 백성이 주의 것이기 때문입니다."
O Lord, hear; O Lord, forgive; O Lord, hearken and do; defer not, for thine own sake, O my God: for thy city and thy people are called by thy name.
B.C. 605년 느부갓네살에 의해 바벨론에 끌려간 다니엘은 이스라엘 민족이 바벨론 포로생활 기간 중에 이스라엘 포로생활기간이 거의 다 끝나가는 것을 예레미야 선자자의 예언서를 통해 공부하면서 깨닫게 된다.
다니엘서 9장은 성경에 대한 지식이 많지 않아도 목사가 아니어도 글을 읽고 깨닫는 문해력이 있는 모든 사람들은 이해할 수 있는 장으로 왜 이스라엘 민족이 그 당시 강대국이었던 바벨론에 포로로 끌려가 70년을 견디어야 했는지 예레미야 선지자가 기록한 글을 다니엘이 깨닫는 장면이 나온다.
하나님의 진리를 따르지 않았으며
하나님의 은혜도 구하지 않았다고 다니엘이 통회자백하는 모습이 나온다
또한 주께서 재앙을 간직해 두셨다가 우리에게 미치게 하신 것은, 주 우리 하나님이 하시는 모든 일은 의로우신데, 우리가 말씀에 순종하지 않은 까닭입니다,라고 고백하는 장면이
우리로 하여금 생각하게 만드는 점은
재앙이 우리에게 임하는 것은 아무 때나 오는 것이 아닌
하나님께서 간직하시다
우리가 끝까지 말씀에 순종하지 않고 악에서 떠나지 않으며 은혜까지 구하지 않는 정도의
강팍한 심령으로 삶을 살아가게 될 때
재앙이 결국 임하게 될 수밖에 없다는 것을 알 수 있다
현재 대한민국이 겪고 있는 고통이 이와 같지 않을까
지난 30년 동안 배부르고 평화로웠고 모두가 풍요한 때에
선을 오히려 행한 것보다
타락과 탐욕과 거짓과 권력으로 사회의 모든 분야가 악으로 달려간 시간들이 누적되어
지금의 극심한 경제적 기근이 고통과 우울증과 자살이라는 정신적인 고통이
재앙으로 임한 이유
분단 이후
하나님께서 선하게 복주신 모든 은혜를
우리는
말씀과 계명에서 떠나
각자가 자신이 행한 대로 하고 싶은 대로
모두가 각자의 욕심과 욕망을 찾아 살아간 우리의 모습에서
은혜조차 구하지 않았다는 것을
이 말씀들을 통해
깨닫는 은혜가 다 임하길 진심으로 간구한다
