48. 말하던 사람에게 대답하여 가라사대 누가 내 모친이며 내 동생들이냐 하시고
48. He replied to him, “Who is my mother, and who are my brothers?”
49. 손을 내밀어 제자들을 가리켜 가라사대 나의 모친과 나의 동생들을 보라
49. Pointing to his disciples, he said, “Here are my mother and my brothers.
50. 누구든지 하늘에 계신 내 아버지의 뜻대로 하는 자가 내 형제요 자매요 모친이니라 하시더라
50. For whoever does the will of my Father in heaven is my brother and sister and mother.”
Father, God, thanks for calling and making me a child, one of Your house members, who can dwell in peace and joy within You. Let me awake and do the will of You, Lord, pleasing You through my life.
I love my family members very much, but most of them make me worried and stressful in such a circumstance that I have never expected or I am sick and tired of caring for, so they could be the source of my physical and mental burden on a daily basis.
Then, what about the condition of being and living as a member of the heavenly house? It seems lighter and simpler than this earthly one, but it is not at all. It requires me to be more determined and it is more challenging to meet the needs of it. Because the way of it is narrow and tough, I should always be careful and get ready for it.
There is nothing I can get freely. I think that the grace of God for all creatures including humans are fairly given, but He asks us to make a determination to be His own family members, and I think that it is called dedication with the purest and humblest heart.
In closing, both this earthly and the heavenly life is not that easy, living as a member of both. Therefore, I need to be wise and brave enough to live today as a child of God and a Christian, and also as a mom, daughter, wife, and sister, I need to pray eagerly for the help of Him in order to play the role of it well enough to glorify His name.
