34. 실과 때가 가까우매 그 실과를 받으려고 자기 종들을 농부들에게 보내니
34. When the harvest time approached, he sent his servants to the tenants to collect his fruit.
40. 그러면 포도원 주인이 올 때에 이 농부들을 어떻게 하겠느뇨
40. “Therefore, when the owner of the vineyard comes, what will he do to those tenants?”
41. 저희가 말하되 이 악한 자들을 진멸하고 포도원은 제때에 실과를 바칠만한 다른 농부들에게 세로 줄찌니이다
41. “He will bring those wretches to a wretched end,” they replied, “and he will rent the vineyard to other tenants, who will give him his share of the crop at harvest time.”
43. 그러므로 내가 너희에게 이르노니 하나님의 나라를 너희는 빼앗기고 그 나라의 열매 맺는 백성이 받으리라
43. “Therefore I tell you that the kingdom of God will be taken away from you and given to a people who will produce its fruit.
I am one of the tenants who is in charge of bearing fruits in life, so at harvest time, my land owner, God, would ask me to count and return any fruits that I have produced throughout my lifetime. Then, what would and could I give to Him?
The first question would be like these. "Did you have mercy on the poor, such as the orphans and the widows and give anything they need?"
The second one would be, "Did you take care of your children and raise them well in prayer?"
The third one would be, "Did you do your best in order to build churches, by supporting ministers or pastors, and missionaries?
My answers are YES. However, if He asks me, like below, I am not sure that I can say Yes.
Did you love others as yourself? Did you love God with all your heart and all your strength? Did you give all the possessions to the poor and follow me? Did you humble yourself as Jesus has done to you?
There seems to be little possibility of saying yes to Him right now, but they could be the main objectives and fruits of my life that I would be willing to bear before I stand before Him.
