민수기(Num) 11장

29. 모세가 그에게 이르되 네가 나를 위하여 시기하느냐 여호와께서 그 신을 그 모든 백성에게 주사 다 선지자 되게 하시기를 원하노라

29. But Moses replied, “Are you jealous for my sake? I wish that all the LORD’s people were prophets and that the LORD would put his Spirit on them!”

34. 그 곳 이름을 기브롯 핫다아와라 칭하였으니 탐욕을 낸 백성을 거기 장사함이었더라

34. Therefore the place was named Kibroth Hattaavah, because there they buried the people who had craved other food.

I think that one of the human sinful natures is dissatisfaction, and there is one more thing, and that is jealousy. Here i can see the results of them, which is eternal death.

Dissatisfaction comes with complaining about what I have not had, not seeing anything that I have already had, and most of them are more essential and precious things, such as fresh air, clean water, and daily food, etc., for me to live on, than I crave on a daily baisis, such as more wealth, beauty, sexual pleasure, knowledge, and honor that I think that I can get through them, etc.

Anyway, Moses' response toward the report about two men's prophesying is very impressive, as he is not the man of jealousy and I think that he has the true leadership at that time of crisis. Compared to the first king, Saul's behavior, his is very honorable. Actually, it is desirable and reasonable, but sadly, it is not easy to see this kind of leader these days. Some of them even kill their aides for their sake, because of jealousy in vain.

I want to have more people filled with the Holy Spirit around me, and see them prophesying like prophets as Moses commented, and i also want to be like that. Father, I pray in Jesus name that You pour the Holy Spirit upon my family members, friends, neighbors, and my brothers and sisters-in- laws, and all of them here in my NIV kakao talk room, amen.
