3. 이 사람 모세는 온유함이 지면의 모든 사람보다 승하더라
3. (Now Moses was a very humble man, more humble than anyone else on the face of the earth.)
What a big compliment he has got from God and i can't imagine how Moses could be humble before God and people. I mean, he was an adopted son of the princess of Egypt and he must have lived with a king and princes with honor and wealth.
However, this circumstance couldn't have led him to become a humble man. I guess that his tough life, as a runaway and a shepherd, living with his father-in -law, and his role as the main leader in the wilderness could have affected his personality. Above all, his love and dedication toward the Israelites are so impressive to me. How could he love and care for the big crowd like a father, through whom I am able to learn how the leader should be.
Even though I am not a leader of any big group, I believe that I should live as a good and humble leader in order to affect anyone, my family members and even close friends or neighbors in a positive way. The first thing I should do is to try to humble myself, regarding them better men than me, and love and care for them as Jesus loved, which doesn't seem easy for me to do in reality.
Father, I learned a lesson from You, this night. Let me keep this in mind and always try to humble myself, not pretending to be, but from my deepest heart, help me to respect others as much as I do to me, and to stop judging or criticizing on others or leaders of churches. Whenever I see any weaknesses of them, let me pray with love. I pray in Jesus name, amen.
