8. 육신에 있는 자들은 하나님을 기쁘시게 할 수 없느니라
8. Those who are in the realm of the flesh (controlled by the sinful nature) cannot please God.
9. 만일 너희 속에 하나님의 영이 거하시면 너희가 육신에 있지 아니하고 영에 있나니 누구든지 그리스도의 영이 없으면 그리스도의 사람이 아니라
9. You, however, are not in the realm of the flesh but are in the realm of the Spirit, if indeed the Spirit of God lives in you. And if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, they do not belong to Christ.
14. 무릇 하나님의 영으로 인도함을 받는 사람은 곧 하나님의 아들이라
14. For those who are led by the Spirit of God are the children of God.
Most of women in my Bible class were Catholic Christians, but they had no idea what the Holy Spirit was, but while reading the Acts, the book of the Holy Spirit, they got to know about it and its works and presence as well.
One of them said to me that she was not sure of its (or His) dwelling within her, eventhough she would pray and call His name.
Then, I said to her that I bet He is within her because she used to call His name, Aba, Father, and pray as well, which means that the Spirit Himself testifies that she is the child of God ( Romans 8:15).
The problem, though, is that we rarely know His presence and His dwelling in us. He is the one who helps us do the good works of God, which could be done only in case we are controlled by Him, the Holy Power. As a human being of sinful nature, flesh, we are not going to do good things, because our minds and thoughts are all set on corrupt and destructive things, such as jealousy, hatred, and complaint, etc., so we never please God, the Holy and righteous Father and satisfy people who have sinful nature.
However, the good news is that I have the powerful helper and counselor who helps me very often whenever I send SOS to my Father, i feel comforted, feeling loved and understood and also taught by Him, accordingly feeling safe, happy and peaceful in my mind, which is life itself to me.
