예레미야(Jer) 23장
4. 내가 그들을 기르는 목자들을 그들 위에 세우리니 그들이 다시는 두려워하거나 놀라거나 잃어 버리지 아니하리라 여호와의 말씀이니라
4. I will place shepherds over them who will tend them, and they will no longer be afraid or terrified, nor will any be missing,” declares the LORD.
5. 여호와의 말씀이니라 보라 때가 이르리니 내가 다윗에게 한 의로운 가지를 일으킬 것이라 그가 왕이 되어 지혜롭게 다스리며 세상에서 정의와 공의를 행할 것이며
5. “The days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will raise up for David a righteous Branch, a King who will reign wisely and do what is just and right in the land.
6. 그의 날에 유다는 구원을 받겠고 이스라엘은 평안히 살 것이며 그의 이름은 여호와 우리의 공의라 일컬음을 받으리라
6. In his days Judah will be saved and Israel will live in safety. This is the name by which he will be called: The LORD Our Righteous Savior.
"Woe to the shepherds who are destroying and scattering the sheep of my pasture!" declares the LORD. Therefore, He should have sent Jesus, the only good shepherd, who gathers His own sheep with good care and abundant love by giving His own life.
This chapter is filled with warnings toward lying priests and pastors who keep telling lies to people, saying "This is the message of God!", making people going astray.
This action surely comes with the results of God's judgment, according to the verses below. They must have had much more accountability than others, so they are always to be awake and should try to be honest before God and people.
Who are they? I mean, it doesn't mean only the priests and pastors because God has called us Christians and believers as the same position like them who serve and worship Him living in us. We are all holy nations and His people.
In this way, this message is to me who believes Jesus and should live in and with His Word, then I could be called as one of His faithful servants and good children as well.
Father, thank You for sending me the good and true shepherd whom I could trust and follow without any doubt and fear. Whenever I hear the voice of my good shepherd, I feel cozy and safe as it leads my life to the green pastures and the streams with water of life. Let me hold on to the righteous Branch while walking every steps of my life and let me glorify Your name at every moment of breathing in and out. Amen.
