contending against Baal

Gideon, so-called Jerub-Baal (contending against Baal(idol of Canaanites)), was one of great judges in the bible and during his lifetime, the Israelites had peace, but they returned to their evil acts of worshiping Baals and Baal-Berith(birth) after his death.
This morning, I am deep in thought about the identity of Baals who had been worshiped long more than God, the creator. Humans have nature of giving birth to more children and giving their power and wealth to the next generations who are considered as their own self, so they tend to make love even with the gods or goddesses who are disguised with the very trickery and beauty as well.
What is more surprising is that even nowadays there are some people who are worshiping the kind of gods, such as Baals, the god of fertility, namely, through the mixed sex with, regardless of girls or boys, or women or men, or even with animals and worsely, dedicating humans to the idol, which is present and dwells among us, even in my house.
I think that I need to fight against it as Jerub-Baal, so that my next and next generations would have peace in their lifetime in His presence.

기드온, 일명 여룹바알(가나안 민족의 우상)이라 불리는 기드온은 성경 속 위대한 재판관(사사) 중 한 사람이었고, 그의 생전에 이스라엘 백성은 평안을 누렸지만, 그가 죽은 후에는 바알과 바알베릿(탄생)을 숭배하는 악행으로 돌아갔다. 오늘 아침 창조주 하나님보다 더 오랫동안 숭배해온 바알의 정체에 대해 깊이 생각 중이다. 인간은 더 많은 아이를 낳아 자신의 분신으로 여겨지는 다음 세대에게, 권력과 부를 나눠주고자 하는 천성이 있기 때문에, 바로 그 속임수와 미모로 위장한 신이나 여신과도 사랑을 나누는 경향이 있다. 더 놀라운 것은 오늘날에도 풍요의 신 바알을 숭배하는 사람들이 있다는 것이다, 즉 여자든 남자든 여자든 상관없이, 심지어 동물이든 남자든, 심지어 우상에게 인간을 바치는 혼성을 통해서 말이다. 나는 여룹바알로서 그것에 맞서 싸워야 내 다음 세대와 다음 세대가 주님 앞에서 평생 평안을 누릴 수 있다고 생각한다.
