LG Energy Solution, a South Korean battery-maker, went public, raising $10.8bn. The heavily oversubscribed listing was the largest in the country’s history, and made the company the third most valuable firm on the Korea Stock Exchange. Last year was a record year for IPOs in South Korea, with more than 20 companies going public, generating around 17trn won ($14trn).

Ukraine suggested Russia had orchestrated a large cyber-attack on Friday that briefly took down about 70 government websites. The warning “be afraid and expect the worst” appeared on the sites shortly before they crashed. An American judge ruled that Martin Shkreli, a former pharmaceutical executive who in 2015 hiked the price of a drug used to treat a parasitic infection from $13.50 a tablet to $750, had used anticompetitive tactics. The judge barred him from the drug industry for life and ordered him to pay $64.6m. Mr Shkreli is serving a seven-year sentence for securities fraud.
