Goldman Sachs reported profits of $3.9bn for the final three months of 2021, down by 13% year-on-year and lower than analysts had forecast. The Wall Street investment bank made fewer trades in a less hectic equity market, though it earned nicely advising on deals. Profits for the full year were a record $21.6bn—double those in 2020.
