U.S. Stocks Mixed as Investors Await Fed Chair’s Speech (20250818)
US stock indexes finished mixed as the summer rally lost some steam. The Dow Jones Industrial Average and the S&P 500 both closed down less than 1/10th of a percent, while the Nasdaq edged out a small gain. Solar power stocks continue to run from Friday, with First Solar and Sunrun shares rising 10 and 11% respectively. And Air Canada shares fell 3% in Toronto after the airline's flight attendants rejected a government order to go back to work.
