SpaceX has valued itself at $1 trillion. Aramco was valued at $1.7 trillion at the time of its 2019 IPO and raised ~$29 billion.
Following SpaceX, other major AI companies could go public (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic). After this IPO, Wall Street, company’s employees, and Musk, who is already one of the world’s richest men, are expected to reap significant profits.
SpaceX was founded in 2002 with the goal of sending people to Mars. Its ultimate goal is to transform humanity into a multi-planetary species, ensuring that life would thrive if something happened to Earth.
SpaceX has also developed Starlink, a satellite internet service. SpaceX accounts for five-sixths of all launches conducted in the United States.
Musk recently merged SpaceX with his own AI company, xAI. Currently, SpaceX owns Starship, an autonomous landing rocket for Mars exploration; Starlink; xAI's chatbot Grok; and X, the social network formerly known as Twitter.
