아이의 이마에 입을 맞추는 엄마의 모습에서,

마리아의 모습을 보았다.

죽는 날까지,

아이를 가슴에 묻고 살아갈 엄마의 눈물은

마르지 않았다...

부패한 기독교를 보며,

서울시를 덮은 시뻘건 십자가들을 보며 한 목회자는 말했다.

"우리는 매일 예수를 십자가에 못 박고 있다."

그리고 세게 어딘가에선,

또 다른 마리아들이 끝없이

세상을 먼저 떠나간 자식들을 끌어안고,

오열하고 있다...

주여,

상처입은 사람들에게 위안을...

당신 곁으로 떠난 이들에게는 안식을...
