Anni, 아니

earthlings, one who inhabits the earth.

Good morning. How are you, Anni?

I can't wait to tell you what I watched last night. I watched documentary, 'Earthlings'.

'Since we all inhabit the Earth, all of us are considered earthlings. There's no sexism, racism, or speciesism in term "earthling."  It encompasses each and every one of us. warm-or cold-blooded, mammal, vertebrate or invertebrate, bird, reptile, amphibian, fish, and human alike. Humans, therefore, being not the only species on the planet, share this world with millions of other living creature as we all evolve here together.'

I quote the intro of this documentary.

It's ironical that we live here temporarily, acting like we are the owner of this planet. If it is our instinct to become stronger than others , treat others mere objects and finally dominate everything, I would be the one who disobey that. I'd like to extremely declare that I'm not gonna own anything and become the strong in this ridiculous world.

I had a luck to be born as a human who don't need to be killed with that blunt knife feeling all the unimaginable pain, with hanging upside down.  I'm really lucky that I don't need to be torn off all my skin while i'm feeling all the sense on my body. I'm almost relieved that I can drink water when I'm thirsty, and that I can run out of my father, not barbaric slaughterers. I despise all the slaughterers in this documentary. I feel guilty that I'm same human species with them.

But are they only people who should be blamed on this reckless killing? We consume diverse sort of meat and fish in supermarket without considering how they're all made and slaughtered. I had a guess that It would be really cruel, but didn't want to know the real fact about slaughter for avoiding to feel uncomfortable.

'If a being suffers, there can be no moral justification refusing to take that suffering into consideration. No matter what the nature of being, the principle of equality requires that one's suffering can be counted equally with the like suffering of any other being.'

Anni, What's your boundary when it comes to feeling other's pain?

I'd like to be intellectual, if I can. But no problem if it's unachievable.

However I should empathize with other's thought and feelings as much as I can. I believe that it is our duty as human species on the Earth.

We've learned in our school system that we have human right, those rights and freedoms all humans possess by virtue of being human. We need human right in order to live a life with dignity. But I'm skeptical that it is valid statement when that human invade other species' life trampling on their eyes alive.

OMG. I've been really serious and just finished this typing. But suddenly my computer had error and all the letters disappeared. It means that it's time to stop frawning and divert my attention to something new.

I'll bollow this book, Family Furnishings written by Alice Munro.

It's his turn to cook dinner tonight.

He said he will make JaJang(black beans paste sause) with rice. It is the same sause we had together in my flat. Do you remember I cooked instant black noodle one day?

I'm happy that I can talk to you through this letters.

See you chick :)
