호주에서는 뉴스 링크를 공유하거나 볼 수가 없게 된다. 페이스북은 호주에서 추진되는 '뉴스 사용료 지급' 관련 법안에 반발해 호주 뉴스매체나 사용자들은 뉴스를 공유하거나 볼 수 없도록 뉴스서비스를 중단한다고 밝혔다. 구글도 이 법안에는 반발하면서도 뉴스코퍼레이션 등 매체와 협상과 계약을 진행하고 있다.
Australian Facebook users will be forced to go elsewhere to read news after they will be restricting users in the country from sharing or viewing news links on the platform. The move follows the debate on proposed legislation from the Australian government that seeks to push internet platforms to pay news publishers directly for access to share their content.

The company hasn't revealed its average purchase price of how many Bitcoin it holds, but it could have gotten anywhere between 37,020 and 51,137 Bitcoin.
