시험볼때 사전 사용 가능한가

The use of dictionaries in taking tests should be encouraged because tests should not just evaluate vocabulary, but also other skills. This includes not only the monolingual dictionary, but also the bilingual dictionary. It is not good for students to fail to properly express their language skills due to the limitations of their vocabulary because the language test should be a comprehensive evaluation of various language skills. Vocabulary is not all, but only part. In assessing English proficiency, you should evaluate not only vocabulary, but also grammar, writing, listening, speaking and reading skills. The same goes for limited thinking to the writing we learn. Students who only know vocabulary are not good at writing. Five factors are important to evaluate writing. These five factors are (1)concise and defined thesis statement, (2)logical transition, (3)body praragraphs, (4)evident supprot using factual logical, statiscal, anecdotal information, (5)good conclusion. As you can see from the fact that vocabulary is not included in these five categories, logical composition of writing is more important than vocabulary.

시험은 단순히 어휘력만을 평가하는 것이 아니라 여타 다른 능력들도 평가하는 것이 되어야 하기 때문에 시험을 볼 때 사전을 사용하는 것은 장려되어야 한다. 여기에는 monolingual dictionary뿐만 아니라 bilingual dictionary도 포함된다. 어학시험은 여러 언어 능력들을 종합적으로 평가하는 것이 되어야하기 때문에, 학생들이 어휘능력의 한계로 인해서 자신의 실력을 제대로 표현하지 못하는 것은 좋지 못하다. 어휘는 전부가 아니라 부분일뿐이다. 영어실력을 평가하는 데는 어휘뿐만 아니라, 문법, 쓰기실력, 듣기실력, 말하기실력, 읽기 실력을 전부 평가해야 한다. 우리가 배우는 쓰기에 국한시켜서 생각해도 마찬가지이다. 어휘만 잘아는 학생이 쓰기를 잘하지 않는다. 쓰기를 평가하는 요소로 5가지가 중요하다. 이 5가지는 clear concise and defined thesis statement, logical transition, body praragraphs, evident supprot using factual logical, statiscal, anecdotal information, good conclusion이다. 어휘가 이 다섯가지에 포함되지 않은 것을 보면 알 수 있듯이, 쓰기에 있어서도 어휘보다 글의 논리적 구성이 중요하다.
