Riot Games PC Bang
A premium PC Bang experience

With projected revenue of 2,14 billion KRW in 2022, PC bangs in Korea are continuing to be on the rise. Today we visited a more 'premium' PC bang that is owned and operated by Riot Games called 라이엇PC방. Located in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Riot PC bang is situated in the Gran Seoul Mall on the third floor. Simultaneously, Riot Games host their League Champions Korea tournament in LoLpark in the same building. When entering the Gran Seoul Mall you will be greeted by a sign where you will see what teams are currently competing in the League Champions Korea to see which team is the best in Korea. Furthermore, the walls and escalators are decorated with characters from the popular game, League of Legends.
When you have reached the third floor you will see the Riot PC Bang on your left side and in the middle, you will find yourself the Bilgewater cafe, a fictional city that was created by Riot and they have turned into a theme cafe. Furthermore, on the right side, you will the LoLpark where all the competitive matches are being held but it is currently closed to the public or only open on matchdays. Next to the PC Bang, you will also find a merchandise store where you will be able to purchase plushies and figurines from your favorite Riot Games characters.
Firstly, when you enter the PC Bang you will need to go to the counter and ask a staff member to create a new membership. The staff will hand you a form that is completely in English and asks you to give a username and the name that is on your ID. After signing the form and giving your username, you will see a kiosk behind you where you will be able to top up your account. Riot PC Bang is one of the 'premium' PC Bangs due to its pricing. For 1000₩ you will be able to get 40 minutes of playtime. If your time runs out your pc will shut down automatically. The more money you top up at once the more minutes you will get to play.
Once you are registered and have topped up your account you can choose a booth where ever you like and log in with your username and password that you just created. For the first login, they will provide an already made password, make sure to change it! Once at the booth you will find yourself a premium gaming chair from Secret Lab and premium peripherals from Logitech that are already provided at the PC Bang.
And to make your PC Bang complete, you can order some food and a drink, they have a wide variety of hotdogs, ramen, snacks, and fried finger foods, and many many more. The options are endless and they are all definitely worth a try. It is just as good as you would get in a restaurant.
