형용사의 활용
1. 우리말의 부사를 영어의 형용사로 표현
-요즘 젊은 남녀들은 자유로이 자기 자신을 표현한다.
-그는 어리석게도 그녀의 과거에 대해 물어보았다.
-그는 그 상황을 상세히 묘사했다.
-정부를 전복하려는 시도가 공공연히 계속되어 왔다.
-나는 아내가 낯선 사람과 다정하게 얘기하는 것을 보았다.
-Young men and women today are free to express themselves.
-He was foolish enough to ask her about her past.
-He gave a detailed description of the situation.
-There has been a succession of overt attempts to overthrow the government.

2. 우리말의 명사를 영어의 형용사로 표현
-관리들은 테러공격의 가능성에 대해 경고했다.
-농업 생산성의 증가는 농부들의 소득 향상을 가져올 것이다.
-그 나라는 무역의 확대를 통해 경기침체에서 벗어나려고 하고 있다.
-Officials warned of possible terrorist attacks.
-Increased agricultural productivity will bring about higher income of farmers.
-The nation is trying to get out of its recession through expanded trade.
3. 우리말의 서술적 표현을 영어의 형용사로 표현
-그가 돌아올 가능성이 크다.
-그녀는 기억력이 나쁘다.
-진도가 늦어 나도 답답하다.
-There is ample possibility that he will return today.
-She has a poor [an elusive] memory.
-I am sick of slow progress.
4. 기억해야 할 형용사
-설득력 있는 증거가 없었다.
-재미있는 이 책은 사색적일 뿐 아니라 교훈적이기도 하다.
-보다 많은 기금이 긴급히 필요하다.
-그 후보자는 놀랍게도 75퍼센트의 찬성표를 얻었다.
-그의 죽음은 그 회사에 치명적인 타격이다.
-그 지진으로 약 3,000명이 사망했다.
-지난주 여기저기서 파업이 발생했다.
-자신의 작품을 제대로 비평할 수 있는 작가는 드물다.
