-시인 혐오자들의 희생자인
중국 시인에게
오늘은 파괴자들이 게걸스레 삼킨다
순수한 청동의 시인을
시인의 어깨에서 나온 비둘기
대지의 날개 아래 숨는다
자만심에 부푼 파괴자들은 개념이 없다
그의 시구가 그들 위에서 무엇을 구축하고 있는지를
비둘기는 내일 다시 올 것이다.
시인에게 깃펜을 밝히기 위해
파괴자들은 그들의 머리를 부여잡고 있다
그들의 눈은 그들의 머리에서 떨어질 것이다
비둘기가 공중에 서 있다
보이지 않는 기념비의 꼭대기에
THE POET'S MONUMENT RESURRECTED
to the Chinese poets
victims of the poet-haters
Today the demolishers devour
An innocent poet of bronze
The pigeons from the poet's shoulders
Hide beneath the wing of earth
The bloated demolishers have no notion
Of what his verses are building above them
The pigeons will be coming back tomorrow
To light the poet a quill
The demolishers are clutching their heads
Their eyes will drop out of their heads
The pigeons are standing in the air
On top of the invisible monument
